I may take some heat for this but id love to see less but better quality juices available from vendors. Id rather have a smaller selection of awesome juice than 100 hit or miss juices ranging from decent to tastes like ***.

When multiple people agree that something is disgusting, it may be time to pull that flavor and if you can't retool it, eliminate it all together. Based on some juices I've gotten, suppliers simply can't be taste testing their stuff.

I understand that taste is subjective but from reading plenty of "juices you hate" threads there seems to be many recurring flavors and vendors that keep popping up. That says to me that something is wrong with those juices.

We seem to be reaching a point where the winnowing out of the chaff is necessary. There's too many vendors releasing too many substandard products. There's eventually going to be a massive backlash from customers who feel like they keep getting ripped off. People can't afford to keep dropping money and crossing their fingers that the juice will be decent. It shouldn't be costing us $100s and trying a dozen vendors to find something tolerable.Id rather see a peaceful reorganization than a bloodbath.

Ah, but you see there in lies the problem. Either you...

1.Minimize the overall amount of selectable flavors and eventually, they become boring/ or some cannot find the 'right' flavor in a limited supply.
2.Need to experiment with numerous juices and vendors until you've achieved vaping zen.

I am all in for diversity. I've spent a pretty penny or 20,000 on juices that didn't work for me BUT! out of the experiment, I've found some pretty AWESOME stuff! If there weren't as many vendors competing for our business, we surely wouldn't see very many great sales and lowered prices. If it was all regulated, it has a better chance of becoming inflated.

You don't have very many choices for fuel in your vehicle, the result, they can charge $4.00 a gallon for gas and you have no other choice but to accept it (unless you choose not to drive of course.)

I see where you're coming from though. It IS frustrating to have to buy and buy and buy with a gambling hope that something in that anticipated package will hold a juice that you'll enjoy, no, LOVE. Ultimately, in my experience, it comes down to finding a sub-genre that you like most (i.e. tobacco's, desserts, fruits, etc.) and from there, attempt a vendor that was recommended or that just sounds good. If you dislike the person's recommendation, try someone else's or just try another vendor in general. It can be a lengthy process, one that is ultimately BRUTAL on your 'pocketbook', but in the long run, I think you might find it worth having so many choices. Else, if what you've tried was all there was, and you're currently not satisfied then you would be, in turn, screwed.

Just my 2 cents.

While you do have a point (since I too have paid gazillions to try out many flavors), given that taste is so subjective, we'll always have a glut of flavors. It's like the candies and cookies. They have tons of products out there, but few are well known and liked. Once in a while, however, a new flavor comes along that survives the test of time and becomes a classic. Thank God for ECF and the members for their constant reviews of dizzying array of new products. I've learned not to make a purchase without reading at least some of ECF reviews.

But even for flavors that most people hate, there is a sizeable number of people who passionately love them. I was amused to find a couple of the flavorings sold by TPA have, as part of their description, a comment that says something like: "we had stopped carrying this flavor because so many people said it was terrible, but this caused such outrage among people who love it that we brought it back."

I think it's good that people with unusual tastes can find their juices, even if their taste is bad. :p

I've spent the majority of my ecig dime on juices trying new ones. I've found it helps to find a vendor that you know is quality, in my case, Vaporbomb.
Once I listened to reviews and ordered a couple of juices that 'worked' I was at ease experimenting and finding new things because I knew I could always fall back on the quality selections I'd already found.

I understand where you're coming from and agree that some vendors need to step up on quality, but am glad there's variety out there. I too have spent WAY too much in search of vaping zen, but my biggest challenge has been finding juices that actually taste of what they are named.

Although I'm sure most vendors do try to accurately describe flavors, I think they need to think outside the box and really assess (along w/ feedback from several tasters) what their end product truly tastes like...just b/c they use pomegranate flavoring (let's say), if the juice ends up tasting like rasberry cotton candy, why do they call it pomegranate? They should call it rasberry cotton candy...b/c if someone hates ras. cott. candy, but loves pomegranate, they end up disappointed, and wondering what the heck happened.

This pretty much says it. Look at any of those "worst flavors" threads, and you'll see FSUSA's Wyatt Earp come up again and again. Seems an obvious candidate for deletion, right? Except, if you go into any "best juices" thread, you'll see it come up the same way. The people that love it, really love it, and the people that hate it, really hate it. I doubt there's a juice out there that doesn't have at least a few supporters.

This is probably a worse problem. I've had several vendors' "caramel" juices and every time, I'm like...what? Am I living in crazy world? I know what friggin caramel tastes like, and this ain't it. At least with something like Wyatt Earp, the vendor isn't trying to match a specific flavor and failing miserably in the process.

this is why I am a fan of vendors that stick out among the rest. Those are vendors that are very selective in their flavorings/extract rather than those that simply use that same flavorings as everyone else with a pg or vg base. I think creating unique liquids is an art. As with any art, a whole lot of it is terrible

I like your last sentence luce...so true! "I think creating unique liquids is an art. As with any art, a whole lot of it is terrible"

and capablevapable...love what you wrote too...had to laugh " I know what friggin caramel tastes like, and this ain't it." :)

Gotta say, living in S. Fla, where latin delicacies abound, dulce de leche was one of my absolute favorite sweets before i had to cut sugar out of my diet. so when I saw that there were a couple vendors that sold dulce de leche juice, i was so excited. First one was a bomb, gave it away, second one...worse yet, did the same. This is a perfect example of what we're talking about here! I know what friggin dulce de leche tastes like, and this ain't it!

On another note, I've always been peeved by people that order the same dish every single time they go to a restaurant, refusing to try anything new for fear they won't like it...but now I think I can identify. Once you find something you really like, why keep searching for another "bliss juice", if the likelihood of disappointment is so high? From now on, I'm gonna consider myself lucky for having found 2-3 juices I really enjoy and will stick to them...no more experimenting with new juices or vendors for this girl, sad to say. It's just too costly to keep blowing money on bad stuff.

The one thing I will be experimenting with is DIY...at worst, if it sucks an egg, the financial impact will be small, and w/ some trial and error, maybe something good if not downright yummy will come out of it...we'll see. have any of you tried it or considered trying it out?

At the end of the day, xg4bx , you might just be right...better to have fewer, but absolutely wonderful products to choose from, than tons of sub par products floating around, yes there are a few that have lovers/haters, that's fine, but others are just plain crappy...demand rules the market, so eventually, the vendors will get the hint, and the great ones will flourish.

I wish for all of us vapers that we find our "bliss juice/s." Sorry for the rant guys, I guess the order I got today w/ $45 of truly crappy stuff just ticked me off! I just had to get it off my chest, and do it here, b/c I knew if anyone would understand it would be you all :).

I agree with you SweetPuff. I tried DIY but didn't really like anything I made....but it was early on when I first started vaping. I have all of my goods in storage for a later date to give it a try again.

I only order from 3 vendors. I don't have the funds to keep buying crap juices if someone new appears. I will once in awhile but that's the extent. The vendors I buy from have good reviews with juices that I love and I'll stick to spending my money there instead of everywhere else.

To the OP, you aren't exactly correct in your statement. Vendors generally handmake their juices to order. Even if a particular juice is only bought by 25 people, with everyone else hating it, it's still profit to the vendor to offer said juice.

As far as Wyatt Earp, it's a love or hate juice. I love it but there are only a handful of us that do. It's still profittable to FSUSA to offer it to the folks that love it. Theirs are all handmade to order.
