I started with the stick battery, an 808D-2 from an overpriced vendor. Then I upgraded within that same vendor to an 808DM-2, a cigarillo-sized PV. When I came here, I realized I needed a longer battery life so I went straight for a Volt X2 at 1300 mAh. I love it. It lasts me all day and more on one charge. I vape less at home, so it actually lasts me two days on one charge on the weekends.

But I'm starting to miss my cigarillo-sized PV, and I'm really starting to miss the automatic. I know I can get my Volt in an auto mode, but it's just too heavy. I'm actually thinking about grabbing an 801 kit for that cigarillo-sized feel and the automatic function.

Am I nuts or something?

Too small.

ELITE-4.jpg

The one on the bottom is a regular 808. The one on top is an 808DM-1, in this case the Cigeasy Elite. I like the size and feel of the DM-1, but they only come in manual mode and I prefer the automatic function. The 801 is similar in size and shape, but they're only 280 mAh.

And while I've grown accustomed to the X2, the diameter still feels awkward to me after 3 weeks of solid use.

It just feels like a step backward to me.

your not crazy, but hey you could be idk.

i will say as a new user to manual batteries i notice ALOT Less problems with the batterys than with my automatics. a little liquid sneaks into an automatic and your hosed until it dries out. Unless it keeps auto activating because the liquid found a contact point and just burns the charge out.

I do miss the simplicity of the auto KR808, but I got used to the manual batt on the Elite very easily, while still having the option of using the old cartos on my Elite batteries. I did go back to smoking analogs during my stint with the Elite, but that was my personal problems and not because the Elite wasn't satisfying...

Once I got back on the wagon, I was interested in the tank systems... but not ready to jump in on the whole Ego and 510 sea of options. I got the Turbo EZ tank system, and that's my current all-day setup... it introduced me to a good, simple tank system, and my coils are interchageable with the Kanger T2, which I plan on getting a few of along with a couple of Vision Spinners...

BUT... some people don't want to go to bigger batts, variable voltage, or even try a tank. The Joye E-roll sounds like something for this crowd. I wouldn't want it, but we all have different ideas of what an "ideal system" might be.

Read, read, and read some more... there are many options available, and many reviews for you to form your own opinion of what your "perfect system" may be.

I vape the Echo 650 mah kr808d1 auto. Size of a cigar, and with a drip tip in it you can hange it out of your mouth all day without hands and just puff. The best automatic ever. The Echomizers rock, never leak, can be taken apart and dry burned, and last about a month if you do. Check the Echo thread here on ECF. I will never have a button.

Also Smoketip has a 350 mah cig style bat that is a true kr808d1. $24.95 aint cheap but life time guarentee with no questions. I used to use Smoketip, and they honor the deal. Also vaporgirl has mini Igo auto bateries that are kr808d1 compatable for around $15.00 if I remember right. I think I'll get one next pay check.
