what are we talking about here? I clearly said that I bought a kr808d charger with my batteries dac. I posted this thread and asked this question to see if it was accepted as safe already. I don't think we talk to the same type of girls. I talk to the type of girls that still live in their parents house and would also think a $10 charger was ridiculous. either way, I bought the correct charger.

I missed that, but unless its the proper 808 charger it could still cause problems. Sorry, but you said in the same post that you bought an 808 charger that you were still going to buy an adaptor and try charging the 808 with the 510. Why would you do that? It's a very bad idea. As it may work for a time, one thing does wrong and you've got a mess on your hands. While I'm all for you winning a Darwin Award, we don't need another explosion causing problems in the e cig industry.

Whatever it works. I shouldn't be arguing over the web.

Sooo, there you have it. Is it possible? YUP. Its a dumb thing to do. Not because its dangerous, but because it CAN POSSIBLY be dangerous and/or deadly. So please DO NOT attempt at home.

Dac's post below this is correct. It will void your warranty. Don't do it.

As long as the mah rating on the charger is lower than the mah of the battery, it will work fine.

I can confirm this will work the other way around:

I have one of the first "auto eGO" batteries, uses a standard 510 eGo charger usually.

I have an old cig-case KR808 PCC which had fallen into disuse, so I added a 808/510 adapter and used it to charge my Auto eGo.

The PCC states on its label it outputs 4.3V @ 350mAh, designed for KR808 batteries (it's one of the cheapie PCCs). This is fairly close, both in voltage and current to the standard ego charger (4.2V @ 420mAh).

I have been using this PCC for charging in this manner for months with no problems. Can't close the lid while it is charging, but just sits on my bureau all the time anyway...

Provided you have adapters that will mate 510/808, and the current isn't too high (I also recommend never using a true eGo charger on an 808 stick, or 510 stick for that matter), it should work.
