I think I'm doing something wrong.

since you say you are a beginner vaper, i would HIGHLY suggest NOT buying a rba until you are certain you are wanting to learn about the "no hows", as well as the major risks involved in it. As for your coil tasting burnt, it is because there is not enough juice flowing to your coil, thus making it dry burn, burning your coil and wick, and in the end giving you a terrible taste. Try looking into higher end tanks that have a reliable coil. Also look into the juice. Keep in mind that when buying your juice you want a mix of VG and PG that best suits your wick. the viscosity makes a big difference

What might be happening to you is that if you have only one battery, you are running the battery down to too low a voltage which doesnt get your coil hot enough and it is cooking and thickening on your wick. You might try recharging it more often, or getting a second battery and switching them off so you have more power heating the coils more efficiently. All 3.7 batteries start off at about 4.0 to 4.22 , then taper off all the way down to 2.8 and lower. At about the time it reaches 3.7 and lower performance drops off.

Just something to think about, I dont want to overwhelm you with too much info.

If its an Evod, it should be a constant 3.7v until it dies.. Mine will go from hitting nicely, to all of a sudden a hit with no vapor. If I hit it again, the battery light starts blinking telling me its dead.. Mine so far both go almost to the dot a full 24 hours before this happens, and its only that last hit before the light starts blinking that I know its gonna die.

EDIT: nvm just re-read the OP and he only mentioned an Evod TANK.. My bad..

I think you are on the wrong thread. I quit just fine with a standard eGo and carto tanks. People have been vaping far longer than RDAs even existed.

Yes, but apparently the OP is not happy with them, and it sounds to me like economy is part of the equation here. He mentions the $3 he uses on atomizer heads every 3-4 days.

I agree with Grannysocks. He should give RDA's or even a Kayfun a try, as those cost pennies to rebuild, give better flavor and are easy to get into.

So are u using a home made atomizer?

I rebuild my protank heads with cellucotton and love them. I found it easy to do after watching a couple you tube vids. Pbuseurdo has a good tutorial. It was my first step in rebuilding, and protank rebuilds fit many tanks. My favorite is the smok pbc v2 from www.desertvapes.com.

From there i moved on to rda such as igo series, so far i hated them all.
I have a few kayfun clones, wish i had gone the taifun route.
And i have a magma clone on the way now.

The smok octopus rda was the cheapest and has been a favorite even after using shinier more expensive ones.

Too really get your vape on its fun to get into rebuilding coils and such. Its easier than some make it sound as long as your ohms are high enough. When you get to lower ohms you have to seriously understand your battery, and your builds so you dont blow your face off. That is why it is so offensive to reccomend a rda build at .5 ohms to any one who is not in the builders category. Not all batteries are equal, there are things you need to know about voltage drop, amps, venting, shorts etc.

Rebuilding a 1.6 ohm protank coil isnt all that bad. And is likely a good step into building, and a promise to a better vaping experience than stock coils.

Thanks everyone for the great advise. Some of it actually made a lot of since based on my experience thus far.
But I have no idea what an RDA is. I've seen basic rebuilding on youtube. It doesn't scare me. But I have no idea
On the more advanced technology. I just want to get a vaporizer set up to where I don't really have to worry with it
Much. It's not really a hobby to me. I can do the maintenance and work but it's not enjoyable. To me I just want
A set up to eliminate cigarettes and be able to just grab it and go. Not all the work evolved.

I started a little over a year ago with a Vision Spinner 1300mah and Evods. I also bought a couple of 510 atomizers that I dripped juice into. That setup worked for me because it was easy, no rebuilding and the fact that the Spinner allowed me to dial the heat on my vape up or down to fit the taste of the individual juice made it easy to find the sweet spot for the right taste.

Evods are great. The variable voltage of the Spinner made all the difference to me in the quality of my vape. I also tried to vape lighter juices. A dark tobacco or a thick sweet dessert or coffee will gunk up your coils in no time flat. Plus that 1300mah Spinner let me vape all day on one battery. I had 2 Spinners, one charging while I vaped the other.

Just starting out is a matter of trial and error. I would suggest you look online to buy your Kanger coils in 5 packs to save money. Dual coils will go through more juice than single coils. You will find what works for you. It takes a bit of time to learn how to vape.

Just a thought. Have you checked your vaping technique? It is not the same as smoking. Here is a link:

Good luck and keep asking questions. You will get this sooner than you think.
