I'm sooooo happy today! Yesterday I was getting so frustrated with the flavors of my juices and just over all lack of performance of my vaping, I was using factory coils that were 2.0ohms and up.

I spent an hour working on coil builds. I didn't relize that Ohms can make a big difference. (I guess I must of missed the memo..lol ) 1.9 is my sweet spot I'm enjoying juices that I didn't care for a couple weeks ago, but with the 1.9ohms coil and cotton filler, what a big difference..

I just had to share

oh my coil build is 32 gauge wire with 5 wraps around a small flat head screw driver I had laying around. (sorry don't know the size) on the evod base

What you noticed was not the change in ohms, but the change in watts. I assume you are running a fixed-voltage source such as a standard ego or mechanical mod. The same improvement can be created with higher voltage.

At a fixed 3.7-4.2 volts and 1.9 ohms, you are running 7-9 watts or so. In a clearomizer built with 32 gauge, I certainly agree this can be a very good vape. That is almost exactly what I ran when I first started rebuilding and very close to what I run today in clearomizers (Kanger T3's then, EVODs and Protanks now)

If you get a comment here about running much lower resistance in an actual rebuildable atomizer (RBA or rda), take it with a grain of salt. That is a different ballgame which you may or may not eventually get into. If your rebuilt clearos work well for you, stick with 'em.

So Sue is it sort of like Crafting? I can't see why it is interesting. I just used the existing tech to quit analogs and it worked. All of this fiddling around really reminds me of computers before GUI and MAC. Is that it? I'm befuddled.

I use an MVP and switch between an evod and a pt mini, I actually think they are basically the same thing, just I find the evod has a tighter draw. I prefer that one most.

Ya you can say building a coil is kind of like crafting, how ever I don't "craft" unless you call painting a room or remodeling a kitchen or bathroom "crafting" lol that's more my speed.

I don't think it's fiddling. It's more like I wanted to learn to replace my own coils and save more money, I just didn't know that different size ohms can mean a totally different vape. but to each their own right

Congratulations Sue. The discovery that vaping is more about temperature and therefore better approximates a craft like cooking is HUGE!. It is in fact both.
