I'm sure this is nothing new in the new members forum. I have gone thru...lets see, like 8 sugary sweet juices and I'm about to blow. I feel like I've just eaten my fill at an all you can eat desert bar. No more English toffee, GS cookies, gooey whatevers or apple pie. Even thinking about vaping one more sugary juice makes me queasy. Problem is, thats all I have lol. I vaped all my RY4 which is quickly becoming my favorite so far.

So tell me, would it be a mistake to get some coffee flavors? Are they super sweet too? I just need something maybe with just a hint of sweet but this dripping with syrup stuff is too much. What do the tobacco flavors actually taste like? Are they sweet too?

basic coffee flavors taste like a strong black coffee without the extras, then there are some that can taste like any coffee flavored drink imaginable ... so I hear kick bass vapors has 1 or 2 based on starbucks drinks...

tobacco flavors are hit or miss... if you are looking for a good tobacco, prime vaping and bwb have some really good tobaccoey flavors...

VG is inherently sweet, but I don't find it all that sweet. The 80%PG/20%VG double flavor tobacco flavor I just got from Gourmet Vapors is excellent, not sweet, but overwhelming - I think I'm going to be diluting it by at least 5:1 with unflavored. I just tried a small sample of an RY4 mix and liked it, I used to smoke menthols sometimes and it was a treat.

The coffee flavors I've tried weren't very sweet unless I picked something sweet. Check the descriptions.

All that sweet stuff would be too much for me, but I want some "vanilla bean ice cream" from Vixen.

I had to grin at the title of your thread. Been there-done that, lol. Thing is, taste is so subjective that it's really hard to come up with suggestions that you know will work but here goes. RY4 and 555 are my favorite tobacco flavors. The 555 is mildly sweet with a hint of nut (especially on exhale). As far as the coffee flavors go, I haven't had much luck with them but I've only tried a couple. The flavor was ok, but they both tended to give me 'sandpaper' throat in short order. You might also want to look into some sour apple and some of the berry flavors. Vape on! :vapor:

I'm a fruit, floral and tobacco flavor person myself. I keep those sugary sweet bakery juices around for those days I'm feeling like visiting that "dessert bar." I definitely feel your pain. I am a hopeless maple addict... I keep straight maple from Vapor Bomb on hand to mix with my 555, RY4, and occasionally even Boba's. Recently, I got in a KBV order including "Maple Frosted Rolls" with extra flavor (extra strong with extra sweetener). Was so taken with the stuff that I used it as an all-day vape two days running. I can't even look at it now, the pain is still too fresh. ;)

I echo the suggestions for 555 and RY4, 555 being my favorite of the two. If you want an excellent tobacco flavor and your body is still capable of accepting SOME sweetness, AVE's Boba's Bounty is a must-have. I wish you all the luck in the world with your sugar hangover. :)

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've heard about Boba's Bounty and 555 so I may give those a try. I'll be reordering some RY4 as soon as I can afford it but for now, I've got to slug my way thru some of these sweet ones. So far Rawr's Green Peach Tea is one I can handle for my all day vape.

JD1, I had thought about some of the sour flavors but wondered how sour they were. I am interested in melon flavors but right now I'm afraid they're all going to be sickly sweet so I need to find something on the other end of the scale. I might try some coffee flavors too but I'm a coffee snob so I have my doubts.

People were right when they said finding the right juice is harder than finding the right e cig. Love my Riva 510 so I'll just keep looking for that all day juice :)!

I wish I could say I feel your pain of od'ing on sugary juices... But I pretty much am fueled by caffiene and sugar. ;3

If you're looking to get a coffee juice that's not too sweet ECBlend lets you choose how your coffee juice is made! I'm in the process of ordering mine right this second. Personally, I love a lot of their juices and you can NOT beat their prices.

A little coffee can go a long way. Add a couple drops of coffee to your RY4.

The sweetest I go is black or blueberry flavors. I can't do the candy or pastry stuff. But I do like a bit of sweet tobacco flavor. RY4 or Vermillion River blends. I got some straight tobacco flavors and found I had to add a bit of vanilla or butter rum to sweeten them to my taste, make them more like ry4. I think the sweetness of vanilla or fruit added to tobacco makes a more complex flavor though some tobacco flavors come pre-blended.

Trapped within my imagination
I went through the same thing... When I first started vaping even RY4 was too sweet.. My tastebuds have never been strong and where some people would say "oh that taste like carmel and vanilla".. I could barely pick up those undertones and mostly just tasted sweet...

I found that what worked best for me is to find a tobacco that was barely sweet, not overpowering in any certain flavor/richness with an analogish "feel", "not taste" on inhale/exhale In the early days the closest I came to that was cigar juice lol
Once you have that low sweet-unsweetened tobacco juice base..You can mix anything with it to achieve the level of sweetness and flavor you like... Like the gentleman stated above Backwoodsbrew and primevaping ( to name a couple) have kind of done the same thing. Like BWB's applewood tobacco = strong tobacco base with dashes of the apple. You could also add your bakery juices, fruits coffees. mints, menthols ect. in just the right amounts for you. ( hey, I could get into a snickers tobacco juice if the snickers wasn't so overbearing lol)

One flav I just havent seen as of yet is a really nice tobacco with a hint of a cinnamon undertone ( not too sweet and definitely not in your face cinnamon)...It has always been my fav mix for when I'm really craving an analog...Research has shown cinnamon helps fight analog withdrawl... So It just makes sense to me and it's a really good vape (cinnamon haters ignore lol)

And IF a tobacco base is not your thing. As someone also already mentioned, having a bottle of premixed unflavored (Pg/Vg/nic) juice on hand is so nice to cut flavors, or sweetness..Start small, maybe 4 ml of your too sweet juice + 1 ml of unflavored

Ha! I too feel your pain. Though it was weeks ago just the thought of my night with a particularly yummy carmel macchiato is enough to make me ill. I can't even stand to smell it anymore and have to run in the other direction when my husband occasionally vapes it. Thank god the bottle is almost empty. Or maybe it might just disappear into the garbage one day. :)

I certainly wouldn't try to talk you into sweet if it's not your cup of tea but couldn't help wondering if it wasn't only a matter of how sweet a certain juice was but how strong the flavor was? I've found that I like sweet but at the same, not too sweet and not overpoweringly flavored. I gravitate towards toffee or caramel as well as chocolate mint. But I've found that things that are heavily flavored don't agree with me and I prefer my juices to be subtle. For example, BWBs Malty Toffee is perfect for me but my husband can't seem to taste much of anything at all when he vapes it. Maybe you might want to try something from a vendor who is known for more subtle flavors to see if this might work better for you? Just a thought.

I think I see some DIY in my future lol. Thanks for the tips everyone...is it payday yet?? Nope. Dangit!!

Can I call you Woolly? Woolly, I just went down to a local cake and candy supply store today and bought a bunch of the LorAnn flavorings (yay for not paying for shipping!). I've got some unflavored juice on the way, getting ready to start up my little bathroom laboratory. LOL. Pretty much all the flavorings I got will be for sweet stuff though. :)

One reason is that the tongue can only taste 5 things - sweet, salty, sour. bitter. umami (msg)

Of those the only ones often vaped are sweet and sour (sour is often combined with sweet for a sweet and tart fruit taste). And bitter like coffee or dark chocolate. Any juice that doesn't have one of those flavors will have little taste on the tongue and be all aroma. Even with sweet/tart, that is all you get and it needs to aroma to be cherry or apple etc. I think sweet and sweet/tart flavors are popular because they give you something on the tongue.

I like contrast. I use 2 ecigs and alternate them. One has a quite sweet mix of 2 vanillas. One has a barely sweet coca tobacco. Each refreshes my taste buds and interest in the other.
