I can't decide between the mini and the standard size. I thought I would just go with the regular so I could use the 18650 when I needed it, but now I see there's an extension available for the mini that will allow you to use an 18650. Being able to use an 18350, 18490, and an 18650 is very appealing. However, it looks like the 18650 extension in black is going to be hard to come by. Does anyone know where I can get one? Any advice on the mini vs the standard?

Edit: I should also add that I have a VAMO that I can use to utilize the 18650. I also have 6 18350's that I would hate to see go to waste...

I have both the Mini and the Reg.

I use the Mini 90% of the time. I like being able to Switch from 18350 to 18490/18500 for whatever I am doing.

If you want the 18650 extension, you must go with the standard sized Provari. I just checked their website, and the mini only comes with the 18490 extension, which is what I am using now.

We did send them a support ticket asking them to add an 18650 extension to the mini, and they said they would submit the idea to their design team.

I can't imagine Provape ever offing this extension for the mini. Doing so would kind of make the standard sized Provari irrelevant for most. Having this extension would allow people to use the 18350, 18490 (with the Provape extension), and 18650. They probably wouldn't sell many more standards...

And with that, I think I've talked myself into the mini!

FYI, there are only 10 units (9 now!) of the 18650 cap left in unpolished. I emailed them and asked when the black would be available and they said they didn't even know if Kir Fanis was going to make anymore at all. I guess that means a satin silver mini for me.

That cap looks very tempting, but I really dig the mini size. Works perfectly for taking to work, and when home sitting at my desk I use a Vamo.

True, but you don't have to use the cap! You just have the option! I decided to order the satin black mini and I'm going to powdercoat the tube when it comes in.

I have the mini in satin and the 18650 ext tube for it from gr-modders. It works great, threads are smooth on both sides and the weight is nice too.

The silver satin DOES NOT match between the two. I would recommend polished for a more refined look. Other than that its a great way to get the best of both extremes.
