SuperX finally convinced me with his videos and the all of the enthusiastic owners on the ECF. [He also sold me on the coil jig which is a god -send for my coils. It beats the screwdriver and the pin vice. I say they are perfect now, every time.]
I got the Grand LP in copper vein with an RM2 and the larger brass button. I will use the Sony VCT5's that i have had a while and used in an SX350 that I sold.
Oddly enough or maybe not, it will go with my old Provari and new Taifun GT''s - both of which I regard highly and won't get rid of.

This response is not meant to offend anyone here and if I have offended you, I apologize in advance...

I asked this in another thread, but just to remind you, you need a LP RM2 for the LP Grand...

Arcing does not sound good to me. I've got 'em, I'll use 'em.
Thanks for the note, I am glad I put that in my post.

Yes the mechanical switch is set up for a button top .
You will find the aw batteries ark much less as well . Don't get me wrong you can use flat tops many people do .

Excellent choices for your first setup (notice I said first?).

The copper finish will, indeed, need some clearcoat to prevent it from darkening (from which there is no return, sadly), so getting it coated should be a first priority. The Sony bats will work just fine - they're the preferred bat of many in here. The AW's have a button top (the Sony's are flat tops) and the dimensions of the reo, as Rob mentioned, were fixed with this battery length in mind. The difference shows up in the firing button travel distance - the AW's require less as they're taller. For some folks this is enough of an issue that they stick with the AW's, but it's largely an ergonomic, rather than technical, preference.

^ juice and a day off for the day your vape mail arrives. You need to be present when the mailman delivers the package, it's insured and requires a signature to receive it. Make sure you're home to sign for it otherwise you'll miss out and have to wait another day to get it.

No waiting extra for me, I am retired and every day is an off day. I also have the vapetastic package delivered to a business address and some one is always authorized to sign for me. My only worry is walking from my motorcoach to the office and back before coiling up and vaping away.
