and I kind of liked it. It was on a full battery but man did it hit hard! The only drawback is that it doesn't have a backup because of the rba and I am so new to building coils that I have to carry an extra with me at all times because I don't trust my coils yet. Sometimes they just develop a hot spot after working well for 2 or 3 days. The one I tried was that cheap one from Discount Vapers. I built it for my friend when he got it and I hated the spring washer set up. I have only really worked with the AGA T2 because those are what I have so maybe I would get used to it. I would never buy the one my friend has because you cannot get replacement parts for it so I am wondering if there are any others around that are cheaper but still offer replacement parts? I am not opposed to the I hybrid but I tend to want copies of what I like for backups and it's up there in price. Just thinking at this point. Any suggestions as to what I should look into?

Really?? No replies??:(

Seems the cheaper cloned hybrids require some tinkering to get to work properly. Hybrids are also sort of a niche market. They can be both pricey and hard to obtain. Not all of them, tho.

My main outdoors device is an Ikarus 2.1 hybrid. I trust my coils and usually don't carry a backup. Just a bottle of juice and spare batteries if I plan to stay out for a while. Makes a nice little pocketable device. Tho, it did take drilling out the air hole and a little work on the connectors to make it great.

That's the other side of the coin. However, if you do like the atomizer and the button, you got one great piece of gear... most likely smaller than any other gear you got. And, in case of the Ikarus, looks good and different than anything else I got. That's highly subjective, tho. What's not to like about this puppy? ;)

If you can get a decent coil working on an AGA-T2, trust me, you can build on anything. The AGA is one of the most stubborn RBA's known. Hot spots often occur because the wick hole is somewhat far from the post. After I learned how to perfectly set up an AGA, which might I add was my first RBA, anything else was a breeze. I have faith in you.

I likes my Zen. If I need it to be more portable I just swap out the atty for the 510 connector and throw on the Protank II or Nimbus. I'm even getting to the point where I don't need to carry as much extra gear when I leave the house.
I'm using a 400SS mesh coil on it and it's been rock solid since the day I got it....except for when I dropped it down the stairs and broke the quartz tank and my drip tip...which was after I dropped it in the parking lot and smashed the Protank that was on it.
That Ikarus is drop dead sexy!

Gotta love the Z2 system...

I am using the AGA T2 now but I tried a hybrid and liked it. I just don't really like the price to buy one LOL.
Biggest reason for no replies is because if you are using an AGA T2, it isn't a hybrid. It's a mechanical PV with a RBA. The top of the battery tube is the bottom of the delivery system of a hybrid (no 510 connection) Eliminating the connection makes a hybrid more efficient.

^This. I was gifted a used AGA T2 from a friend when I first started to develop an interest in gennies. He said "learn this and every other genesis atomizer will be your .....". It's absolutely true.
