I am not an e-cig collector. I wanted a device that would vape at 6 volts. After careful consideration of the devices available or soon to be available, I chose the Super-T for several reasons. First, it was the first device to include venting airholes in the body, adjustable airflow (for the 801 atomizer), adjustable button throw/pressure and locking button. These are all safety and design features that are both convenient and, well, make the unit very safe and pleasurable to operate. Second, the design is very beautiful. Third, the device is hand-made by one person. This insures that you get a product that meets the stringent scrutiny of the fellow producing them. Third, I feel very confident with the customer service provided by Super-T manufacturing. Emails and PMs are answered promptly and corrective actions, while not usually needed, are super fast. Finally, the device is 100% mechanical. This means it will continure to operate long after I have croaked, but it is easy to diagnose and correct minor problems (of which I have had very few).

Honestly, there are several high-end battery packs out there. You would likely be very happy with any of them. But using the same atomizer and same voltage, any of them should operate similarly. You would have to base your purchase decision on design and safety elements, ergonomics, style, flexibility (i.e. voltages it can run at), customer service and perceived value.

wow that sounds great, i'm all for long term durability and possibly saving money if the batteries are cheap? i remember there being so much on this site that its actually daunting, and i wasnt wrong. I'm buying for my brother, but I'm just going to send him here so he can decide for himself! He's gonna love the extra features/details on this one and i bet would love to make one himself

I would also like to hear what others have to say about this e-cig. Once again I am looking to buy another e-cig that gives a lot of vapor. It seems like e-smoking is becomming a bit of an addiction to find the best device out there. I have only been vaping for a little less than three weeks now, and I already have a 510 and a 4081 and I am looking for another. Any opinions on this device good or bad would be good to hear.

If I got the Super T, can the batteries be bought inexpensively and just about anywhere? And could I just stock up on 801 atomizers and be all set for the long haul, not likely having expensive parts to be replaced frequently?

Batteries are user replacable and cost a few bucks each. I vape the Super-T at 6v (x2 CR2 batteries). A pair of CR2's from Deal Extreme runs just under $4; I rotate four pairs of these batteries. The CR2 charger set me back less than $5.

I purchased 25 801's from Puresmoker which netted me a nice bulk discount. Average price per atty was around $5.25.

The most expensive supply is e-liquid.

How did you get that good discount on a bulk order of 801 atty's? I went to PureSmoker and clicked on "How to Contact Us" and it took me to a page that didn't give a link or tell me how to contact them but just told me how good their products were.

This puzzled me too until I just up and put 25 901's in the cart. Suddenly the price dropped, and the shipping cost disappeared.
