Ok, just like the annoying little brother I used to be, I come to all of you for help. I kinda feel a little....dumb to even have to ask this. Not only am I new to vap'n (less than 24 hrs analog free and proud already), but I also new to forums. I put my reasons to quit smoking as my profile picture, and now I want to see my banner of how long I have been off the cancer sticks and learning to breath again. I have tried EVERYTHING to quit smoking, and I just came to the realization that I never really wanted to quit, that I enjoyed smoking. And now that I have found this wonderful world of Vapor...I can kinda have my cake and eat it too...well in this case I can smoke and not die from it! Wait, let me correct that....I can vape and not die from it! :) So, two things...can anyone please help me figure out how to put up a banner when I post, and also can someone tell me how to join groups? Im from GA and have found a group here that would be a great support network to keep me from falling off the wagon and going back to analogs.

:vapor: newbie

You need to post a few times to have the banner option available and the ability to join groups. 5 posts will let you post anywhere in the forum and I think you have to have 15 to be able to add your banner. Just click on someone's banner you like, most will take you to a page to build your own which you copy and paste into the signature section of your profile.

Welcome to ECF.

You need 5 non-spam posts/replies in this forum and after an hour (for the forum to update your status) you will be able to post elsewhere on the board.

After 15 non/spam posts then wait an hour, you will be able to add a signature banner. i.e. If you press Settings in the upper right of the forum, the options you get down the left will include Edit Signature. It's easy to get 15 posts. Just comment on threads, welcome some new members, etc.

To get a counting banner, either click on someone's you like or there are some at the bottom here:
E-Cig Wiki

After you fill out the blanks for one and generate the HTML, copy the HTML, go to Settings, Edit SIgnature
Paste the HTML in the Text box. Then to make mine show I had to select exactly the whole HTML then press the Image icon above the text box (I think it was next to an envelope icon). That will add some image tag code to the start and end of your HTML.
Then save.

Actually, you can't use HTML code on the forum. It needs to be BBCode, or what some call Forum Code.

Thanks dormouse. I wasn't smart enough to figure it out 'til I read this. I didn't have to do the picture icon part though. Good thing 'cuz that's where I got confused again!
