I will never buy E-Juice without tasting it first, again.

I had one juice that turned to crap after about a month. In fact it seemed to get worse daily. It had a nice sweet tart taste at the beginning then I started to not like it so much so it went to the back of the shelf. I took it out a couple weeks later thinking maybe it would be better since I hadn't tasted it in a while. UGGH. It didn't have any real taste other than harsh. It's like the flavoring disintegrated into something worse. It's in the apocalypse section now. Maybe I'll try experimenting with it.

I don't deliberately steep anything either. If I don't care for it the first tank, it'll go into rotation and I'll come back to it in a week. It does help.

But we've all gotten what I'd call unvapeable juice before. Lol. It's one of those not so fun things about vaping. I have a small box of sample bottles I will never touch haha.

I do enjoy visiting a B&M to broaden my flavor profile because I'm annoyingly picky about flavors. Similar to a lotta folk here, mine aren't really close. Not to mention, they're small with small selections. They've also opened me up to specific vendors who's juice I've come to generally enjoy. Those I usually can order online cheaper, but I found them in the B&M.

The OP never specified what vendor they bought juice from, or maybe I just didn't catch it, but that too can make a world of difference. They're flavors I've hated by one guy and loved from another. Another annoying bit about the hobby lol!

Here is a suggestion for you, though, because the internet can connect you with some amazing stuff.

    eliquidsamples.com

Small 1mL samples from multiple vendors. They're cheap and you might find something splendid.

Seems like juice is very different from place to place, That's the reason I buy local so I can try them first. :)

Absolutely! The owner of the local B&M will patiently let me try as many as I want and helps me keep track of the ones I like best. I have no interest in buying on-line.

I wish you the best of luck. Me? No way Jose! I’m following our great President’s Lincoln’s advice: “You full me once – shame on you. You full me twice – shame on me” I don’t want to be disappointed again. I only buy on the Internet the ones that I have already tried and liked:
    1. Vapelicious – Peachy Mango 60VG 40PG 18mil Nic. It is delicious but no Throat hit I like to drip it.
    2. Pink Spot – Rip Tide. 30VG 70PG, plenty of throat hit, a little minty even though I don’t like menthol.
    3. Pink Dot – Raspberry Lemonade. Guessing 50/50 that is exactly how it tastes, looks and smells.
    4. Caterpillar – Cheshire. Sweet Strawberry with Mojito (mild mint) Plenty of flavor and TH
    5. Halo – Belgium Cocoa 30/70 (Halo won’t tell you that) Very high end chocolaty taste and TH
    6. Kustom – Are Why For 30/70. Pleasantly melon and water melon taste and TH
    7. Space Jam – Pluto 18 30/70 Sweet Vanilla and something else that is good. TH
And if you run across one of Clear Mist E-Cig Store, try Strawberry, Kiwi/Strawberry, Strawberry/Banana and Fine Cigar.
I also have the following that I can stand but do not enjoy too much but I’m not throwing them away:
    1. Free Masons Elixir – Blue Granite
    2. Veperlicious – Cinnabun
    3. Smoke N Mist – Scary Cherry
    4. Vapor Crane – Ramune
    5. Virgin Vapor – Organic Vanilla Late
    6. Mr Good Vape – Dabble Dooyah
    7. Mr Good Vape - Bahama Mama
    8. Halo – Turkish Tabaco
    9. O. M. G. – W T F
    10. Lush Vapor – Volcano
    11. Top Vapor – Sweet Carolina
And the following, I strongly suggest not to touch with 8 foot pole. Run, when you see them! These are the ones in that picture above 200 ml of free e-juice going to my brother.
    1. E Health Cigarette – 100ml Coffee flavor. Absolute sh…t and looks like one too. Shipped from China $9.00 - 100ml
    2. Vape Escape – STR8UP. I heard some like it, I hated it.
    3. Top Vapor – Hangsen Virginia
    4. VaporGod – Strawberry
    5. VaporGod – Earl Grey Tea
    6. VaporGod – Strawberry Kiwi
    7. VaporGod – Apricot
    8. Five Star VaporzThouthern Belle
    9. USA Smoke – Full Flavor Cigar
    10. Smokecignals – Sweet Carolina
    11. Smokecignals - Strawberry
But, again: This is my personal experiences, YMMW

I don't have a choice. If there's a brick and mortar e-cig place around here, I haven't found it. Online is it.
And I have found a couple of outstanding juices online.
Mr. E-Liquid has 3 juices I will vape the rest of my life. Dime Piece, Apple Strudel, and their RY4. Just outstanding. They have 2 or 3 more I consider good.
But I'm a flavor junky, so the search continues.

I too love Earl Grey tea. I thought I would love it as a vape. I ordered mine from a different vendor than you but my experience was the same. Ugh! The bergamot was overpowering. Tried it again at one month then two months later. Still unvapeable. Ready to put it into the Apocalypse box. Then I saw my bottle of "sweetener" from Mt Baker. Ah ha! Three drops in a 3ml atty. BIG improvement! YMMV

I'm in Winston Salem NC and I've got the B&M that store that has the "bad" (to me) tobacco flavor about 30 minutes away, 1 full service store about 4 minutes away, another that is part of a tobacco shop 5 minutes away and another full service vape store that is about 15 minutes away... The 3 closest stores carry a variety of manufactures juice so finding something I like isn't that hard around here, but the store who makes all their own (and only have a couple i like) are by far the cheapest at $8.99 for 30cc bottles.

I'm gonna be making my 1st online purchase soon, from Mt Baker I think. For those prices I gotta try it, esp w/ all you hear about their juice on here. I am curious tho, cuz I've only been to 1 B&M, and that's the only juice I've ever vaped (5-10mL bottles made to order). It will be interesting to see how it compares, but I just hope it's not BAD cuz I plan on getting a couple 30mL's. We'll see!

Watch yourself when ordering from MBV (Mt Baker). Order the small samples. I know there is a large fanbase here, but as I go to vape shows and also meeting other vapers (which I do once a week at a local vape gathering), MBV is the juice that everyone wants to give away and no one else wants it. Go ahead and order as you may have a good experience finding a juice you like...just test the waters with a bunch of smaller bottles first.

I fell into this trap myself and still have several different 30 ml bottles that I cant even give away. Mine are months old and are just garbage. I really need to throw them out. (12 juices, one was "OK" )

I DIY now because of this.

    Good luck

Steeping yeah, that will fix it. Really? Flavor will develop a little bit over time, but chit still smells like chit no matter how long it sits. I have never noticed bad tasting juice taste better after any amount of time. I feel steeping is a term used by juice vendors that don't use enough flavoring or with poor quality extracts. When I mix a fresh batch of juice I'll let it steep for 2 hours or so before giving it a vape. I have never noticed a dramatic change in taste from 2 hours of steeping compared to a month of steeping. It's either good or it's not, no amount of time will change that. Now the longer you don't smoke ones sense of taste and smell will return and everything taste different. Think that is more pronounced than change of the juices flavor.

The only good thing about a bad juice is the bottle it came in. Wash it out and then when you go DIY juice, you have something to store it in. Steeping is just an internet legend imo.

I second this for the most part.

I learned early on about purchasing e-juice blind. I don't do it anymore, ever.

No FMCSA rules against making your own or carrying the materials needed (except PGA, can't have that). Gives you something to do with your downtime, great for restarts. Instead of ordering ejuice in the mail or picking it up out in the world, order the flavorings instead and make whatever juices you like, as much as you like. A few bucks to get started, then after that, it's a lot cheaper. Bonus: never run out!

    My expirience...

Bought some juices from Mt.Baker and at the moment I'm pretty dissapointed. RY4 taste like crap, something horrible ,artificial in that ,can't define correct, chemical or parfume feeling. Same for 555, maybe less horrible but very simular.
I try it about 7 days after arival.(hoped it will be good enough)
Stravberry has no such an odd taste in it,but I don't like it,too artifical. I got BlueMoo and Butterschotch to try yet,to be honest,I'm affraid to do so :)
Now I will leave them for 24 or more hours opened, then wait 2 weeks. If that don't help I will throw it in trash.

On the other hand ,my ADV Inawera Gold Ducat is perfect from the first day ,taste just like it need to taste. Also Hangseng Pinacolada is great,no steeping also. In those liquids I don't sense any kind of perfume or chemical,
just the great aroma. From those two labels,I also tried Cherry, whiskey, apple, chochomint and some others, and maybe they are not so great to me,at least, there is no that horrible and odd taste in it.

Everybody speak so great about MBV,but to me,it's just a totaly different story and dissapointment.
