I wish they'd told me . . .

I bought a 901 from a one-model, one-page, website the other day. It turned out to be a 901 (I even had to enquire here to find out what it was). The cartridge tobacco flavour was horrible, but I thought that e-cigs, with a nicer flavour, had potential.

The kit had just battery, one atomizer, and a charger. I bought some flavoured e-liquid from another site in the UK and I must say I am most impressed. I am mainly vaping Mint at the moment. They taste great. My plan was to combine analogs and e-cigs and gradually swap over, reducing the analogs along the way. However, today I started on the e-cig with mint flavour and all is great. I never even wanted to smoke the tobacco I have left (over 200 grams of it). This e-cig experiment is definitely gonna work for me. I can tell already.

I wish they'd told me I would definitely need more batteries with the 901. I'm having to combine the 901 with analogs, but I just find mysef looking forward to when the battery is charged so I can back on the e-cig.

Still, doesn't matter too much. I'm placing an order for a new PV and I'll just have to be patient. I've been smoking so many years that a few more days won't make much difference. I'm just so surprised that I'd WANT to swap over to e-cigs so quickly. I half-thought I'd reluctanly be leaving the analogs behind - but no, I want to leave them behind now - amazing. I thought quite possibly I'd be adopting a sort of compromise form of smoking, but this new e-liquid I purchased make me realise I'm going to enjoy the e-cig experience.

Just thought I'd take a few moments in this post to thank all the people who have shared so much useful and helpful information here on this forum. This place is fantastic for learning about e-cigs and e-liquids. I've been reading so much over the past few days and now only wish I'd read ECF before making any purchase whatsoever. Thanks all - you're doing a wonderful job.

Hi intaview,

I'm in the same position, I was already almost feeling sorry for analogue smokers walking through town today, but I'm gutted I didn't buy a second battery when I got my first kit!

I've been on the lookout for a decent UK based e-liquid seller to get some nice mint flavours. If you could PM me with your recommendation that'd be ace!

If I may suggest, if you have the option, get a manual battery, it will give you a better vape then the automatic in my opinion.

I agree, somewhat.
I wish I had known to order e-liquid when I ordered my starter kit, even though I ordered prefilled carts.
But I had done enough reading and asking questions here that I was pretty much covered otherwise. And helpful forum members came to my aid, even going so far as to offering me liquid to tide me over.
I'm also finding many vendors to be helpful but def not the one page/one brand type.

I've been off the analogs and on the blu for over a week now. I don't even miss 'em. The blu is nice because it comes with 2 batts and an awesome PCC for recharging. What I didn't do was order enough carts with it (because they are a rip off), but I ran out before my e-juice arrived. I found some at a local gas station...which was an even bigger rip-off!

Oh well...lesson learned.

Thanks for your replies. After reading polls and opinions in this forum, I'm definitely going to go the manual route. I'm going to start with a Joye Stick v3 plus 510 adaptor and get a couple of batteries and atomizers for the 510 (and a PT) plus an extra classic atomizer for two for the JS. That should give me some flexibility and with adaptors I could maybe try out what cartomizers are like.

I was going to get a Tornado but the thread here about the battery switch sticking has scared me off that. I'd hate to be stuck without a functioning e-cig once I take the plunge - hence the 510 and JS, in case there's any problems.
