Imeo, I wonder if you are aware of the Steampunk aesthetic (aisthetikos/αισθητικός) of the GG's? I am not talking about the so-called "Steampunk Sparkplug", wich is a simple, utilitarian-looking device with a copper-colored atomizer. The Steampunk aesthetic is about much more than that. It is hard to describe, but people who loved the stories of Jules Verne understand the aesthetic immediately. It is Victorian era "Industrial Revolution" with a mix of science fiction.
The only way the GG could be more Steampunk is if it had clock-work gears, telescopic sights, and a laser beam with a hair-trigger!
