hello my names Jim and i live in the West midlands, i enjoy watching football and ice hockey
my plea for help is that now i have been mixing for a month, every batch of juice i am making
has the same problem. the problem being when i have steeped my juice and come to vape it
there are amounts of juice with no flavor content in it. I am only trying single flavours at 15%
mixing to juice me up calculator, shaking for 5 mins and again shaking every day for 5 mins
and leaving in cool dark place for 14 days. i have no answer to this problem if some good soul could give me some advise i would be more than grateful many thanks Jim.
PS sorry i am vaping on a drip tank with a 50/50 6 mil mix

One issue might (might) be that you are using too much flavoring. Of course, since you didn't say what flavors, nor the maker (like LA, The Flavor Lab etc..), it's hard to pin it down.
I use CAP and LA and LAN and All of them I mix at 6.7%. Only one do I mix at 5% and that is the Double Chocolate for CAP since 6.7 is way to strong.

My mixes aren't lacking in flavor at all, and most are single flavors.

I suggest you start by making small batches (5 to 10ml) and start with 2% flavoring. If nothing works from that , move up in %. Speed steep (soaking in hot water for a few minutes) might help to cut your steeping time down for the test batches.

Hello Supplydaddy sorry to i did not say flavours i have used
capella and some flavour appentice thanks for your quick
reply Jim

Both are good makers and as I stated, I do use CAP (which is Capella) also. Try the smaller batches and smaller % and speed steep for testing. Raise the % until you fine one that works for you!

between here and there
Hello and welcome to ecf.

I concur with SupplyDaddy. Over flavoring is the main reason for having no taste in ejuice. If you don't want to trash what you already have, take another bottle and put about half into it and then put enough nic, pg/vg to bring it back to your nic level...i.e. if you are using a 30ml bottle and then half it, you will only need to replace the nic for 15ml.
:)

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
sounds like soggy cotton syndrome (aka vapors tongue) switch to rayon,, i lost all of my taste problems switching to rayon,, cotton just cant keep up if you are chain vaping/vaping faster than a thick wad of cotton can move the ejuice for you.....this same info is part of my signature.
hope that helps you.

Welcome and glad you joined. We are all different and have various taste sensitivity. If you don't taste your mix, you are not alone. I have had the same problem. I have seen mixes with as little a 4% total flavor and several people taste them just fine. You need to hang in there and find the flavors that work for you.
I have found there is no hard a fast rule governing the taste of the flavor. Best advice I can give is to read the reviews of the flavor before you purchase it. If most folks are using low mix percentages, chances are the flavor is strong. The higher the average percentage in a mix, the less strength the flavor may have. If a review cannot describe the single taste of the flavor, chances are it is weak/hype.
Mix on, a month is just the start of learning DIY. Might check out e-liquid recipe forum and check out the info provided closely.
