I have been following the study for the Indoor Air Vapor Quality Study for over a year now. Found at:IVAQS Project .
It was paid for by donations from venders, raffle tickets sales and interested personal e-cig users and started by: National Vapers Club - Meeting Place for lovers of e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers and all things "fog" producing! .
Now, I understand that any science study needs to be reviewed by the scientific community. To see if all the proper protocols were followed, and to determine the authenticity, and validity of the study. The proper course for this is to get your study published in a peer reviewed scientific journal. I would not want it any other way!
Now, all these steps have been taken, and --Voila-- (pardon my French) it is published! WOOHOO!!!! HUH?
I could read the Abstract of the study for months now on their web site, and all it has been saying is "No Significant Harm -- No Significant Harm" and no details. Now on the journals site I can read: "No Significant Harm -- No Significant Harm" and no details.
I could click a link and pay forty some dollars to see the details, but why would I wanna do that? Didn't all these people who financed this study do so -- so that everyone could see the details? And aren't the original owners of the study still the owners of this study, and why are they charging us?
There have been other studies out there with the details in plain sight (for free), like Clear Stream and I know, I know they probably are pretty much the same. But I was hoping one of these publications would break it down, using all the information, in an easy to understand pamphlet. So that anyone could understand and see the vapor as an uncomplicated mist and let us know the Good, Bad and ugly and what it means.
I guess I am saying, Why can't we get all these study's out in public, put them together and answer all the simple questions in an easy to read, all the information at our disposal, way?
