Been using IBTanked carto on my Provari 2, then suddenly....it stopped working. I mean the Provari no longer registers the tank. When I check the Ohms, I get an OP error code (tank not found/Too few Ohms). I replaced the carto...nope...ensured the connections were all pristine clean...nope...tried the tank on my Provari Mini...an it stopped working at that same time!!! Weird. Any suggestions? I have a TON of extra cartos for it and don't want to go back to my old ProTank II if I can help it.

OR...any other RELIABLE tanks (cartos or other) suggestions? Haven't quite started the rebuildables yet (although really looking at that Russian 92)

ANYWAY, got off topic, need suggestions for the IBTanked problem if you have any

It sounds like you got some bad cartos where the connector pin isn't sticking out far enough to make a connection to your provari. Try pulling the connector pin out of the carto a smidgen and see if that works. You could also check the resistance of the cartos with a mulimeter to see if they are the resistance that they should be. You might have gotten a box of duds.

I had something like that happen with my KFL+2 a couple days ago. I was at work, happily taking a few drags and then...nothing. I was so confused, and because I was at work, I didn't have time to figure out what was wrong with it. I used my backup for the rest of the night (I'm so glad that I carry backups).

When I got home, I discovered that I had accidentally turned the voltage from 3.7v up to 5.5v. Thus the ProVari started giving me an E1, because it didn't want to fire that much voltage through my low resistance coil.

Not saying that's what your problem is, but it might be something else to check before you give up on them.

I agree with tm. Sounds like connectivity problems. Are those new cartos? Do you know their resistance? Can you use other heads on your ProVari? Hard to diagnose a problem here because we can't ask you any questions.

If tm is right and your cartos don't make proper electrical connection with your Provari, try those circuit board spacers from MadVapes--they work great. The link to MadVapes doesn't work well, for some reason, but you can just do to their website and type circuit board spacers.

ETA: I love Kanger tanks/clearos on the ProVari. I love my AeroTank. ProTank 2 (with air flow control base) is also very nice--if you prefer single coils.
