Are the cartos they offer of good quality? I notice they only offer 2 ohm and 3 ohm..are they consistently close to this. I have ordered 2 ohm from other places and they would all wind up being like 1.6 ohm.

Also I have a provari and a MVp2 I was considering the 3 ohm cause I have heard that lower ohms can drain a battery fast. How are the 3 ohms from them?

Thanks!

IBTanked gets their smok cartos from Smoktech. They are a good carto. Acceptable variance can be +/- 0.2 ohm.

I have used 3.0 ohm single coils and prefer that resistance on my Provari's and MVP.

What voltage would you recommend with the 3 OHM...I hear people say what great battery life they are getting and Im not getting that. I am assuming that its because I have always used low resistence cartos and protank heads. Does higher ohm make a difference with battery life? I always thought if I had to up the voltage on them and that would drain the battery faster.

Many people use the ohm plus 2 formula. 2 ohm + 2 = 4 volts

Lower resistance actually use more amps from the battery, which is what drains the battery. Standard/higher resistance use more voltage, but not as many amps. It's all about Ohm's Law.

1.0 ohm and 3 volts = 3 amps (current) power drawn from the battery
2.0 ohms and 4 volts = 2 amps power drawn
3.0 ohms and 5 volts = 1.6 amps drawn

So the lower the ohm, the more energy that is drawn from the battery.

The electrons in a battery flow freely across the surface of wire coils. How much resistance that coil has determines how freely and fast the electrons are used.

Think of resistance as how water flows through a narrow garden hose (high resistance) and a wide garden hose (low resistance). More water flows freely in the wider water hose due to less resistance, so more water is used.

Do you find their 2-hole prepunched cartos adequate for 50/50 juices, or do you punch your own?

I'm thinking about ditching my clearos and going back to carto tanks.

Stealth, I use 50/50 and the 2 hole are the way to go. I'm a chain vapor and the one hole ones dry out on me and the three hole tend to flood. Hope that helps. Enjoy the day!:2cool:
