I would try IB if you haven't tried one before. Just because it's cheaper. I think most of us can agree that carto tanks are pretty awesome but just maybe you won't like it and then you have a 50$ beautiful phiniac on your hands that you won't use. If you love the IB you can buy a Phiniac and user the IB for another liquid. Just my :2c:

I have about 20 tanks combined from IBTanked, Phiniac, and Valley View Vapes. I prefer IBTanked because the caps have a low profile and are the same diameter of the glass, providing a clean look. Next up is VVV, same diameter as the glass but the caps are a bit bigger, really love these tanks too though. The least favorite is Phiniac because their caps are big and a larger diameter and that's just not a look that I like.

IBTanked would be a better choice for a first tank, for the reasons that Dana mentioned, being that they are less expensive yet still a high quality tank. I have a Phiniac, 3 pyrex from Valley View and 7 IBTanks. IBTanks are my most used tanks.

They offer a 19 mm diameter tank in standard length (1.5 ml capacity) and XL length (2.0 ml capacity) with stainless steel caps.

They offer a 25 mm diameter tank in standard length (5 ml capacity) and XL length (8 ml capacity) with SS caps.

They just started selling a 22 mm diameter tank in both the standard and XL lengths with colored anodized caps (don't know the capacity of these).

Dana, Bored, and Bad,
Good info. I guess IB jamming with IB. What about the cartomizer? I am leaning to the Boge Xl, but this really is a shot in the dark.

If you can get ahold of them, the best are Ikenvape 510 Fusion or Ikenvape Platinum. The XL size are called "mega". These are popular and in limited production, so they are often out of stock. Keep a frequent eye out for availability and get on the "notify me" list when the get in stock. https://www.ikenvape.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1860

I also use the Smoktek single coils as a backup when Ikenvape are OOS. Single Coil XL Tank replacement 510 cartomizer for 3.5 and 6ml SmokTank XL - w/flange and 1, 2 or 3 holes.

Am I missing something or does IB not have one solid transparent color? Like transparent blue or green.

They do, just order the solid color you desire, it will be semi-transparent. You won't see the options until you pick the size tank you want. In the comments section of your order tell them how transparent you want the tank to be. They do the painting by hand and how many coats applied will determine how transparent the tank will be. A final clear protective coat is applied, too.

You are correct. We are the minions of Baditude-sensei

I use Smoktech XL cartos with my 19mm XL IBTanked (or IKenVape when I can get them). I highly recommend getting flanged cartos (at least at first), they are easier to control than the unflanged ones. IBTanked sells cartos, listed under "Accessories" if you want to buy from just one vendor.

I also suggest getting a "tank tool" (which Bad has probably already told you about during the time it took me to type this).

Yea I see the drop Lot. I just wish I could find some pictures of the tanks. All the pictures that I can find are of people with clear tanks. It says the tanks are semi-transparent, but by their pictures, they seem non-transparent.
I couldn't find any examples of IBTanked's painted tubes, but they will look like these tanks. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/184358-art-glass-drip-tips-8291.html#post7330291

Yeah, thanks for the reminder, Ocelot. If you order a complete tank kit from IBTanked, they give you a tank tool as part of the kit. If not, I highly recommend the Slap Yo Moma. There's a video of its use in the Cartotank Setup Tutorial in my blog.

My signature used to say that I was a low resistance lady who hot swapped with Slap Yo' Mama, but it gave people the wrong impression...

You should have kept that signature. Sometimes it's good to throw a stick on the sidewalk to weed out the stupid and intolerable. I like to know about the ones who will trip and the ones who will stand there for a hour and complain about a stick on the sidewalk.

I was being sarcastic ;) I would have left it, but there wasn't enough room for that and the link to my video.
