Could someone chime in and give me some advice on carto tanks? Such as which would be the best one to start with. I see ibtanks, and phiniacs, and x8's, and agr stainless and the list goes on and on. I was thinking about using some boge cartos pre punched or whatever I could find and I would like the option with the two glass tubes so I could use both sizes of cartos in them but you guys know best so shoot those opinions out they would be greatly appreaciated.

I love my cartos. They're great for all day, no fiddling vaping - just prime and go. Performance is better than a pro tank or clearo, but less than an RDA or RBA (and no rebuilding).

The three top cartos I see reviewed are Ikenvape, Boge, and Smok. All will perform well for you. I'm using some Boge's for the first time now, and they're very, very good - smoother than the Smoks, which tend to gurgle once in a while (just draw on the tank without firing the button, should clear it up). I tried punching bigger holes, but all it did was make it leak, and I'm fine with the way they come, anyway.

This page at IBTanked will explain all you need to know about cartomizer and cartomizer tank sizing.

F.A.Q.

Basically, with IBTanked (and others) you can use three different 510 carto sizes: XL, Standard, and Mini. Some makes call the mini size "shorty" and Boge calls XL an XXL, which confuses matters. Tanks are made to fit the cartos and can be wider or narrower depending on liquid capacity desired.

I love a carto tank set-up and have been using them for nine months. My set-up is described in my signature. I punch my own cartos.

I have an IBTanked and have hardly touched my protank or evods since I got it. If you go to their website you can build your own tank selecting the tube length and width, end caps, drip tip, and carto. The end caps are the most expensive part of the tank and you can use them on different length tubes of the same width. The tubes are about $5 so you can order an XL tube along with a standard length tank system and be able to switch it up. I advise to get the tank filler drip tip also. It allows you to push the carto into the tank and fill it from the top without flooding juice into the carto. Makes it much less of a pain

My recommendation is to start out right and get a quality pyrex cartotank. You could go cheaper, but depending upon what you choose you may inadvertantly choose a lesser quality tank, have a disappointing experience, and then be turned off with the cartotank experience based solely on choosing a bad tank initially.

IBTanked allows you to purchase a very high quality pyrex cartotank with either stainless steel or anodized aluminum end caps for under $30. They offer three lengths to choose from: halfling, standard, and XL. Four diameters to choose from: 15, 19, 22, & 25 mm. If you want to get fancy, they offer special decorative glass paint designs for the tubes.

These tanks have solid o-rings, so there is no need for a locking option. Tanks can be ordered by piece (tube and endcaps only) or they can be ordered as a complete kit. Pre-punched cartos, drip tips, tank tools, and other accessories are available.

I agree with everything baditude posted.
I myself didnt have the money to spend so i started with smok dct tanks, they are glass and cheap at www.desertvapes.com
Fast tech has the same ones for less than $7 but plan on a 4 week wait time.

I get my cartomizera from ibtanked. They are flanged and are easy to use. I have never had a doa from them or had any burnt taste or wicking issues.

I currently own 8 6ml smok dct tanks, 4 from desert vapes, 4 from fast tech. I own 3 smaller glass smok dct tanks also found at desert vapes. Two smaller dct plastic tanks from fast tech..... And two ibtanks.

Important note is the ibtank glass is cheap to replace should it break, about $5.

I think that the smok dct tanks are easier to take on and off the battery. The flanged part of the carto kinda locks into place so when you turn your tank it will unscrew easily, a lot of times my ibtank will just turn and turn, but will not unscrew, it just spins around the cartomizer. So much so that i now buy my cartomizers the next size up than the tank i am installing it into.

I like both equally. Ibtank has great selection in sizes. They are superior in quality.
I highly reccomend any carto user to buy one.

But if you just want to buy one to try, go with smok glass dct tank big or small from www.desertvapes.com they work just the same. Will run you about $10 with shipping, maybe a few bucks more if you get your cartomizers from them as well.

I fully concur with Ladiekali. I bought 2 Smok DCT tanks from desertvapes.com and it was a good experience with the product and the vendor.
The tanks work well, but I will be ordering my first 2 IBTanks soon. They appear to be higher quality and more refined. That being said, Smok is a good starting place to test the technology.

Alright stepping into another realm already, agr carto tank on the way, assorted bog cartomizers pre punched and one of those big daddy cartomizer tools, I think the idea of having something nice and portable to take with me for the day is a big bonus and the ability to carry a lot of e juice to get me through a day, the cigalikes are good enough for now but they aren't going to cut it forever
