Just started vaping 2 days ago and started off well, but I seem to be having and issue with my current tank. Im using an iclear 16 tank and a vv vision spinner battery. About 60% of My draws are perfect, the others burn my throat and choke me up. To my knowledge im not doing anything different between hits. My spinner is set at 4.3v which is what my local dealer reccomended for this juice. Any reason why 1/3 would burn but the others not?

I have been working in a vape shop for over 2 years, vaping for 3, I know that people will go with what they like, top feeders vs bottom feeders, BUT, I try and move people to bottom feeders for this very reason. If your a light vapor than top feeders are ok but as the juice level drops the time between vapes widens or you have to tilt the tank to resaturate the wicks. Bottom feeders are, for the most case, constantly wet because the juice is always sitting on them. Advise for top wick vaping, time between vapes to allow the wicks resaturate, tilt the tank often...or try bottom feeders.

If he reccommended a high voltage like 4.3v, I'd imagine it is a thicker liquid that thins with the higher temp. This thicker juice moves slower up the wicks, especially if it is not filled fully. My suggestion would be to either switch to a little thinner liquid, tip the tank every once in a while, or simply take more time between hits. P.s. I have the same exact set up.

I've found fumbling with my iclears keeps them from getting dry hits. What I mean twist the unit while on its side, move it, whatever, to keep the wicks saturated. If I'm not fumbling with the setup I easily get dry hits after a few vapes if I don't keep it vertical or almost full of juice.
I'm also finding with bottom feeders I need to keep them vertical when not using or I'll also get dry and/or burnt hits. EVODs and Aspire CE5s both have the need to stay vertical for best results whereas the iclears just need to be moved often to keep things saturated.
I agree a hit every now and then without pressing the button does help quite a bit, especially my bottom feeding clearomizers.
Hope that helps.
