I use the iClear 16 with my manual X2. In fact that is the only one I really like for it.
Its not perfect, but its pretty good. I've never gotten a burnt taste from it. Very little leakage. Good vapor production, though they are a warmer
vape, though I'm not sure whether that was the batt or the iClear. I've disassembled it twice, which I've never done with a clearo before. Fairly easy to rinse, dry and replace the head. Don't rinse out the head and reuse it, use a fresh one. I tried that and it leaked like a sieve. When I replaced the head, it was fine again. It does burn through
juice faster, having 4 wicks instead of 2 (I think that's the dual coil thing).
The only problem I've seen is that it delays before it fires. I'm not sure if that's design, flaw or user error. I've noticed that when I listen to it when it use my manual X2 batt, after hitting the button it is quiet, sputters a bit then makes that slight hissing sound I've come to listen for from my carto days that tells me that everything is fine and begins to produce vapor. I've gotten used to it, but it still disturbs me that I might be doing something wrong.
I'd recommend it. I haven't tried the X2 clearo yet, however the minis taste constantly burnt, both on my X2 and 78mm. The iClear has good vapor production, almost no leakage onto the battery and has a great life with head replacement.
Of course the lifetime is YMMV, I vape much less than most people. I started using my iClear in January, and I only last month changed the head for the first time, but mostly out of curiosity, rather than need. The more frequent vapers around here could give you a more realistic lifespan estimate.
