Something strange happened just last evening and this morning. Yesterday (Sunday), I unpackaged a brand new iClear 30, and had been vaping with it, together with an Ego battery, most of the afternoon and evening.

At some point, the battery died, and I proceeded to plug it into my recharger while I fixed up another that was sitting ready. Very soon after, it also went dead. "Hmmm" I thought, "What're the odds of that?" It was getting fairly late by this time, so I went to bed.

In the morning, I again grabbed the iClear, and this time threaded it onto a battery which I knew was fully charged, and also brand new. I had bought a few weeks prior, but hadn't yet had need of it. Anyhow, I had barely taken my first drag when it, too, went dead.

"What the hell? That's not good..." All three of these batteries were now completely dead to the world. Pushing the button didn't even elicit a single blink.

I've just returned from work, plugged that last battery into my charger, and after about ten minutes, the charger is showing green and the battery appears to be, once again, fully charged.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? A Tank somehow draining, or otherwise damaging, a battery? I can imagine a battery frying the atomizer in a tank, but I have to admit, I'm a little stymied by this one.

I've been vaping for about 10 months now (completely smoke free), but am by no means any kind of expert. I've otherwise been very content and haven't encountered any other problems with various batteries or a variety of tanks, including other iClear 16s and 30s...

A strange one, but any theories would be most welcome

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

I've watched many reviews, and a lot of general videos on vaping, and I've never heard of that problem. However, your answer does give me pause and may explain my battery situation. I've since re-charged all three batteries, and fingers crossed, they appear to be ok.

If you're correct, it would also be unfortunate. I've used a number of dual coils, and that was, in fact, my third iClear 30. It's the first problem I've had, but again, the last thing is need is to be frying $20 batteries with $8 tanks :)

Again, I thank you for your time and answer, and I'll try to find some more possible answers to this problem.

I started vaping with a eGo-C kit with 2 650 mAh batteries before the Twist came out. I tried LR C attys at 1.8 ohms and they worked well. Then I tried some non-Joye LR attys because they were such a good deal . My battery stopped working shortly after putting in the first one and went dead just like yours. Turns out the attys were dropping in resistance during use and that when they got under about 1.4 ohms the batteries thought it was a short and shut down. Without a DMM I would never have known this was happening. I read about the problem, put the battery on the charger for a few seconds and that woke it up. Sounds like what you are experiencing.
