I've been vaping with a Vivi Nova for about a month or so now. I heard a lot of great reviews about the iclear 30. Tons of youtube vids about how much more flavor and vapor the iclear produces. I got mine in yesterday and I'm on my second tank. i seem to be getting less flavor than with my vivi nova. I'm wondering if the type of juice i use or the eGo-C battery i have it attached to is muting the flavor. Most people I've seen with the iclear have a VV battery. Is my ego-c battery perhaps holding back the performance of my iclear 30? I'm getting twice as mutch vapor from my iclear 30, but about half as much flavor. There is also a slight metelic taste. I'm really really trying to like my iclear 30, but so far, my vivi nova tastes tons better :glare:

The iclears (both 30 and 16) are both dual coils, and the resistance of the standard coils are around 2.2-2.4, so you need more volts than a standard ego battery (3.7). So, yes, it's holding the flavor back, because you need at the minimum 3.9 volts for best results with the iclears.

Remember, dual coils take more volts since you are heating not 1, but 2 coils simultaneously.

I usually run mine from 3.9-4.5. Great flavor, lots of vapor.

Perfect! I'm planning on getting a VV battery very soon. I'll probably order another iclear head or two when I do just to be safe. Thank you for the input. I've been hearing a lot of people saying they are having issues with low flavor from the iclear tanks. I wonder if they are using similar batteries and having the same issues. What are your thoughts on the VAMO v-2? I'm leaning towards that for a VV battery because it's inexpensive, but i'm afraid that because it's inexpensive it will not be as good as others.

I use the itaste MVP, also from Innokin.

Box mod, fits nicely in the hand, VV, 2600 mAh internal battery, can be used as a passthru (no VW or ohm checker). Solidly built, and the charge lasts for a couple of days. I was thinking about picking up a new itaste V3 with both VV VW and ohm reader -- all in the size of an ego battery, and easily used as a passthru, as well. I can't afford a Vamo plus batteries/charger or an SVD.

I ordered a ego-vv mega and an iClear 30 a few months back and I wasn't impressed. I know the ego-vv is kinda crappy, but the iClear has a weird metallic taste I couldn't get past. I pulled it back out when I got my Tesla, but when I put it on the draw was extremely stiff. I tried to clean it out a little, but it didn't really work. I am wondering if it maybe needs a new coil or if the main tube is clogged. Any suggestions?

A good rinse with warm/hot water under the tap is good. Just safeguard that rubber top nipple (take it off and you can check out the condition of the coils). A good rinsing will help to prolong the life of the coil head. Just dry overnight and you should be good to go the next day. If the coils are really gunky, do a quick dry burn.

UPDATE: I've been using my vivi nova and had my ego battery charging for most of the day. I just switched back to my iclear about an hour ago just to give it another test....BLAMO! the flavor kicked and it seems to be getting better. I'm not sure why, but it took a little over 3 tanks of juice to get the flavor from my iclear, now it's tasting just as good as my vivi tank....weird.

Thanks! I will take it apart tonight and give it a good going over. Hopefully I can get this thing going because a lot of people absolutely LOVE them. I will try and update in a couple days.

Sometimes, the wicks have to be "broken in" depending on viscousity. Glad to hear it's working for you now.
