iClear 30 Voltage Question

I recently bought the iClear 30 with 2.1 Ohm wicks. The site @ which I bought it from recommends vaping at 4.4-5.something voltage, but that seems a little high? I've been vaping it at 3.8 and with some flavors, it can be a little bland if I don't turn it up. I'm just worried about burning up my wicks. Since it has so many wicks - should I turn up the voltage? I've read some people usually vape at a lower voltage to kick in the wicks initially. I'm just a little confused.

general rule of thumb is add 2 to whatever res rating you have, and thats the voltage you should use with it. so try 4.1v on the iclear. good luck with it. i have 2, and all i get is a funky metallic taste out of them. they wick and vape like a champ, but just taste kinda nasty. i would suggest a good vodka soak or boil before using it to get rid of any chemicals that might have been left on the parts before you use it.

Would I boil the clearomizer head + wicks as well? And would it be alrighty if I did this after I have already used it?

They're dual coils, so you do need more voltage for the ohms than single coils. I'm rocking my iclear16 @ 4.4 volts right now, and my iclear30s are usually between 4.4-4.8 volts, due to the extra air inside the tanks.
