The past couple of weeks, I have been using the new (to me) 30b in my daily tank rotation to break up all my Protanks. When they flood I've been clearing them the usual way, a rolled up paper towel corner down the intake to soak up the renegade juice.

Well when I do about 4 out of 5 times this is what I pull out!

I have 6 heads total and so far they all have loose silica coming out of them. Any other 30b owners have this problem? I thinking about just shelving them, as I have plenty of other tanks that I don't have this problem with.

Rebuild them yourself with cotton ^_^

I don't believe I asked that question. I have no desire to rebuild these as I have plenty of RDA's and RBA's. I wanted to know if other people have seen this. But thanks for the canned response.

Unless you were joking, then disregard my snarkiness.

No I wasn't joking, my name must be fraudulent. <_<
I do not own one, so I cannot answer your question. I was simply making a suggestion to help, so you didn't have to shelf a tank you paid good money for.

No problem. Im a die hard protank fan (which I do rewick with cotton!) LOL!! I just tried one of these cause I liked the flat top look of them and the drip tip. So I'm not losing to much if I just toss them in a drawer.
