Hey all, just started off vaping about a week ago. I first started with an Ecto 1100 BDC, then bought a Kanger EvoD kit, and now have an iClear 30S with an eGo C-Twist 900 battery and standard beauty ring. I have the battery set at max 4.9 right now, but have tried other lower settings to no avail. I get a lot of gurgling and popping and the vapor production is really low compared to my Kanger and Ecto. I changed the atomizer out for a brand new one, yet it still has the same problem. I am using Ecto PG juice primarily and Sejuiced VG on occasion. Is there any way to stop it from gurgling at least? I wanted to go with the Kanger Protank v3 but I was turned toward the iClear and am hoping I made the right choice. I tried the suggestion in post #25 of this thread "iclear 30 gurgling/leaking. help" from these forums, taking the drip tip off and using a q-tip to clean the rubber seal off and the inside of the drip tip, and it cut the gurgling and popping down greatly and have a bit better vapor, but it's still popping a bit. I have the C-Twist set to the 4.8 right now and it's hitting great. Other than that, it's not bad. I haven't had any leaking issues or drawing any juice into my mouth through the drip tip, but I can't figure out why it keeps getting juice in the silicone seal on top of the coil.

Edit: The gurgling and popping is back to full strength again after a few draws. If anyone else has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't want to have to go buy another tank because I'm having problems with this one.

Actually dealing with this issue myself. I've tried cleaning the batteries connection, cleaning the tank, and getting rid of the fluid that sits atop the atomizer. Sometimes it stops, sometimes it doesn't. I did however notice that it seems to be leaking from the air holes placed at the base of the tank.

Anyone had this problem before?

Having that issue with a iClear X.1. Similar design other than coil location. iClear X.1 coils at Bottom and 30S has coils at top. Searching online I found that the seals at the coil are made by wick expansion when saturated. Until this saturation, flooding and gurgling can occur. As my coils are low, I inverted it and let it rest for an hour. Blew out any liquid remaining in the port, wiped the 510 thread and re-installed. Flooding and gurgling did not return when I used it again. I don't recommend vertical storage of the X.1 unless inverted or fluids will leak out at the wick. The 30S will be the opposite as coils are at top. Don't fill above Max. Let rest for a bit right side up. Exact time will depend on the viscosity of your e-juice. Blow out any remaining flooding and wipe 510 connection before installing. Recommend checking the mods 510 well for fluid or condensation. Qtip or tissue will wick it out. Hope this solves your issue.

Are you filling it to the top of the tank?

If so, stop it. There is a set of marks on the side of the tank that goes up to 3ml. You need to stop at that 3ml mark. Do not fill it any higher than that.

Welcome aboard.
What you are describing is flooding. Clear the flooding by wrapping the tank in a paper towel then blowing through the drip tip. after a couple of blows take a draw on the tank and listen for gurgling. Repeat as necessary.
Hard draws can cause flooding in any tank to flood. Slow and easy dose it.

Thank you but I've tried that and it's not working for me. Could it be the juice that I'm using?

TBH everyone with Evods Protanks Iclears etc has had problems with gurgling and leaks... its just the design of the tank and coil setup that causes it... some people have luck with them by taking very light long draws and not creating alot of vacuum on the mouthpiece when vaping....

the only 2 tanks Ive never had leaking issues with is the RSST and the Kayfun3.1 clone by Hcigar
