It really depends on what form they are eventually regulated...

If they are regulated as a drug delivery device some day, they will be VERY expensive.
In that case I would do the illegal way.

If they are regulated as a tobacco product then a number of things MAY happen...
1) They may get somewhat more expensive
2) They may take away almost all of the flavors
3) They may be available only in tamper-proof cartomizers
4) They may be available only in reduced nicotine strengths

If any of the above happen and I find the results to be too upsetting to my way of vaporing, I will go the illegal route.

I could tolerate some reasonable increase in cost.
I could possibly tolerate only using tobacco flavors if I can get good ones.
I could not ever tolerate tamper-proof cartomizers since I drip and intend to always drip.
I could probably tolerate reduced nicotine strengths since I only use 12mg anyway.

What is legal is not always right and what is illegal is not always wrong. What can be wrong is the reason that something is legal or illegal. The truth is always somewhere in the middle. I would like for the authorities to give vaping a good, long, thorough and unbiased look. I do not want vaping to be taxed simply to pick up the slack from smoking.
