If I like Tennessee (and Cafe Sumatra and Cocoa) what other VS tobacco flavors should I try? I'm leaning toward Frisco based on its description.

I'm tempted to just do the sampler and try all of them (except anything menthol, which I can't stand), but I don't want to get something that I don't like. There are a couple of tobacco flavors that I've had that I really don't like at all... Flue Cured Virginia from Vaperite and Wyatt Earp from FSUSA. They both have and odd spicy flavor to them. (Is that a 'flue cured' thing, or a 'Virginia' thing, or something else?) Are any of the VS tobaccos like that at all?

Frisco and Tampa are my two favorites. Texas and Tennessee are battling for 3rd.

I'm familiar with most of Vaperite's tobaccos, but not at all interested in FSUSA. In my opinion both Vapor Station and Vaperite tobaccos are particularly excellent for very different reasons. Neither can be better than the other because they serve different vaping experiences.. Kind of like comparing vegetables and fruits. I enjoy each at different times. VS is more like a cigarette to me.

Thanks for the reply. Frisco definitely sounds good. Well, they all do... but especially Frisco.
I agree that it's hard to compare VS and VR... that's not really what I meant to ask though. I got to try two of a friend's VR tobaccos recently, and liked one, but hated the Flue Cured Virginia. Have you tried the FCV? If so, do you know what I mean about it having a spicy (almost peppery) taste?

I was just wondering if anyone else has come across tobacco flavors that have that taste, and if that's a characteristic of certain kinds of tobacco blends (flue cured? virginia?), and if there are any VS tobaccos that have that spiciness.

Yes, I've had their fcv (though i dislike most other vendors' versions of fc-anything). Flue-cured Virginia is high in sugar content. It's nothing like Perique, in my opinion. Although I don't consider any of the juices mentioned as "spicy", you might want to avoid flue-cured in general. None of the 4 VS juices strikes me as remotely similar to fcv. So I believe Frisco, Tampa, and Texas are good candidates. I have not tried Phoenix but the description mentions that it has "a bit of spice" ;)

I read a lot of funny stuff in juice reviews.. but some of the threads found in a search of "wyatt earp" and "spicy" are hysterical! There are a couple of threads that mention a jalapeño taste to it. Mind you, I've never tried it... but there seems to be some consensus that it's spicy like a hot pepper. haha Great stuff..

you know what?
is it possible that there was some residual juice in the atomizer before you vaped fcv? That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

btw, while writing this i've been vaping Frisco like crazy.. I'll go ahead and stick my neck out here and insist that you get some!

disclaimer: these are just my opinions.. YMMV
cheers!

if you like tennessee, you'll like frisco -- or vs4 -- or ry4 -- or tampa. I know the spicy taste you mention, and I think it comes from other vendors' base mix. Vapor Station seems to use a totally different base mix than other vendors, and I've yet to come across that weird spicy taste. And NONE of eric's juices will have that wyatt earp ("lets go lick the underside of a lawnmower") taste.
YMMV

Thanks for the replies.
I don't think residual juice in the atty was the issue. Right before it we had tried the organic tobacco, which was good, and didn't have that odd flavor. Maybe spicy isn't the right word. I love really spicy foods. It's not something that burns your mouth... maybe peppery would be a better word. A peppery flavor without any burn.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that no VS juices have that wyatt earp taste. I'm definitely looking forward to getting some Frisco.

I'm almost out of my last 30ml of Frisco.. Many of you have probably read me scoffing at the concept of all-day vapes... but despite this idealism, i might soon have to eat my words ;)..

By the by, of the 4 VS tobaccos I've tried, Tennessee is my least favorite.. It's not so much a fault with the flavor.. as much as it speaks for what is right about Frisco, Tampa, and Texas. Different strokes.. maybe Tennessee will grow on me. I'm not at all averse to it though.

I'm curious about Phoenix now..

hope this wasn't too far off-topic ;)
carry on..
