Stocking up a friend who's got an uber-tight budget and way more stress than anyone should have to deal with right now...and smoking like a chimney trying to deal.

She's got the shorty batt that the V4L team threw in as a freebie on my very first order, she's got one of my regulars... she's got my PCC and a handful of cartos that I top off for her through out the week (she's also got the RY4 - I didn't like it, she loves it and it's her daily staple but it's also 0 nic.)

She decided that she loves the cognac... but so do I (mix it with peach for a major treat!) and my itty bitty bottle was almost empty on Friday.

So I placed an order, getting a bottle for each of us as well as some 24mg cartos for her in the hopes that they'll help her cut down on the analogs when she's stressing (that and she really really really wanted to try out the 24mg premium vanilla cartos.)

Of course, since most of the order was for her... I had the package go to her house...across town... It came in today but I won't get my goodies until Friday.

And I'm out of cognac, damnit.

And she fessed up to swiping the freebie carto to boot! (24mg banana, which I've been wanting to try. Her excuse was that she forgot the pack 24mg premium vanilla cartos were for her.)

Oh well - if she doesn't buy analogs between now and Friday evening, it'll be worth it.

I have a young college girl who vapes,she ordered one bat,usb charger and a pack of cartos.She comes to see me at work and uses my juice to refill her carts and I gave her an auto shorty to keep and use while shes charging her bat.Its kinda fun though and Im glad she likes it and is quitting cigs.It feels good to help.

You are a very good friend. You may point out to her that she'll be healthier and save a lot of money if she switches. Smoking like a chimney nowadays can be very expensive; I assume it's at least two packs a day? So that's 15 bucks a day where I live. And it's going to be more. If money is an issue, have her do the math. It might provide an additional incentive. Whatever works.

Smoking like a chimney, for her, is a pack a day. She was down to half a pack a day, and then 1 - 2 analogs a day with vaping ('bout where I am but I was 1 1/2 packs on a no stress day). She knows the health benefits, and money isn't an option since Mom and I decided we're going to keep her stocked up until things get better for her financially.

However, her automatic response to stress is to light up...even when the eCig is there and ready. That little mini-high from the first drag and all... (wondering if getting her a tin of snus will work for the "emergency" situations would work? )

I believe that snus may actually help her. I think it has to do with MAOi, especially MAO-B, that are present in tobacco leaves. Some people are more dependent on it than others. It's not just the nicotine, as we all know. MAOi are powerful anti-depressants and, basically, fight the bad guys that eat up our precious dopamine. There are some good studies out there that I've been following, especially from Yale and Stanford. Looks like replacing nicotine (which we're doing here) and, especially for people who have a hard time quitting analogs, possibly supplying some low-dose MAOi might be the answer. If you want to know more, just google "selegiline and smoking cessation." I am tempted to try it, as I'm still having cravings for that "Aaaahhhh" feeling that this first drag provides. Keep me posted.
