If you could have an e-cig iPhone app. What would it do?

I'm finishing up my new iPhone development framework and I would like to use it to create an app for the Apple AppStore. So I thought maybe I could do one for e-cig users and wondered if you guys had any ideas for what you would want it to do.

I could only find one app(1) in the app store and its called ejuice. Since I don't care much for DIY juice mixing that has really no interest for me. Plus the app thats there looks pretty good.

So here is your chance to help design a perfect ecig app.

Plus if you think it is a terrible idea thats cool. I'd like to hear that too. :)

(1) There is one other one but it is in Italian and it is also an eJuice mixer app.

A tracker app, like the banners in signatures, but a lot more detailed and accurate.

Start date and initial PV purchase prices, accurate analogs avoided prices (update-able, for changing prices), quit date if it happens, along with a running total of everything: money saved (or debit), days smoke-free (there are a lot of apps that do this for people who quit smoking). Every purchase is entered and tracked, against what analogs would have cost. Could also have an inventory of what you have in stock in your personal stash, with re-order reminders for juice and cartos, possibly in the form of push notifications.

And what if it allowed you to find fellow vapers? A social component, if you will. Find other users, either in your area or anywhere in the world (the app inneract comes to mind), add them as friends, and share juice and PV reviews, or upload video reviews for others to watch? I'm not sure if that's too facebook-y, but it's a thought.

I have other ideas, but I'm at work...

Will it be for Droid and iPhone?

Possibly. My framework is supposed to work on iPhone and Droid and Windows Phone 7 (and maybe WebOS once I take a look at it). I am finishing up the iPhone one now but I won't have time to do a Droid one for a few months. It is open source so I am hoping someone else will port it over. Would make my life easier.

But once the framework is ported then it would be very simple to recompile for the Droid.

Okay, I thought about this a bit more.

Obviously, the only way someone is going to want an app is if it does something they want it to do, that isn't really available elsewhere.

I know e-cigarettes shouldn't be seen as a stop-smoking device, but it's obviously the reason many people get into vaping.

So, I would divide the app into 'panes' (lined up along the bottom, as you see in many apps). The first would have "Today" and would allow me to enter how many analogs I'd smoked that day, along with (maybe) a record of how much I vaped, either in ml or cartos or amount of time.

Another pane would be something like "Progress", showing charts with time on the X-axis and analogs smoked on the Y, also showing vaping time or mls on the same scale, so we could see the progression from smoking to vaping.

Another would be "Stock", allowing us to enter purchased vaping supplies, including juice, cartos, attys, etc. with their prices, or a total paid for an order. Running totals should be kept for money spent on vaping, analog money saved, etc. Low-stock alerts might be a pain to implement, but would be a nice feature.

Another pane (settings) would allow me to enter price of analogs in my area, amongst any other settings needed.

That's all I have for now...

Something akin to the tracker app, or maybe an addon to it, could be inventory management. Takes your rate of usage against what you have on the shelf, and let's you know how long before you run out. It would help people know when to reorder. It would probably be easier to manage with liquid than with cartos.

We are thinking along the same lines.

Low stock? Personal or from supplier? If I could get info from Bloog I could add in alerts for when items on your wishlist comes back in stock. This would be cool.

What about a mobile version of something like this DIY ejuice calc?

(Don't want to step on any toes at ecigexpress or whatever but this popped into my head right away)

I mentioned one like that already in the app store in my first post. But i am not into DIY so it doesn't interest me much. Plus there is already a good one in the app store.
