and you can't figure out what it is, think back to earlier in the day. If you were having an everything bagel while you were eating and didn't set your mod far enough away from you, a seed may have fallen into the atomizer. This will make your vape smell like popcorn later on. That is all.

Or, according to a thread at Reddit...
"The ignition point of vg is north of 350C and that's where you get into Acrolein production. It boils at a temperature of 290C. As long as there is glycerol present, the coil, under normal operation, cannot get above that boiling point; give or take a few degrees.
Basically, to reach the temperatures required to oxidize glycerol into Acrolein, your coil would have to be dry and at that point there is no glycerol to oxidize. Acrolein tastes like burnt popcorn. You'd know immediately if this was happening."
Apparently. Thankfully it didn't happen to me, but another Reo user. He had it outside while doing yard work. A bunch of ants went into the atty. Guess what happened when he used it?

My REO dropped out of my pocket and landed on the driveway the other day - I picked it up and put it back in my pocket. The next time I took a puff, it tasted awful - I took off the atty cap and there was a tiny piece of asphalt up against the coil. I probably had the only e-cig on the planet that contained tar. I do not recommend that flavor.
