I'm posting here besides the DIY section because I saw quite a few people mention they would like to DIY to save money. It really isn't difficult and can save you a bundle in the long run. Not only that, but you know exactly what is in your juice and with one of the cool juice calculators, you don't even have to worry about figuring out the percentages, plus you can store your recipe successes to make again and again. Or you can just play around making micro mixes using one of the tall carto condoms- almost fill it with pg or vg, and add a drop or 2 of this or that and taste, add something else, taste again, etc...lots of fun and full of surprises! You can keep track of drops to figure out your ratios on your successes to make bigger batches and add nic if you want! Anyway, although there are a few flavor vendors out there DIYer's use, like The Flavor Apprentice, Loranns, FlavourArt, etc, that make flavors specifically for vaping, there are others that make flavors, but don't mention vaping. There is one called Nature's Flavors that produces natural and organic flavors for a long line of food uses, but don't have anything specifically for vaping, nor in a size that would be small enough to be attractive to most vapers, though some do use them. I talked to a flavor chemist there about this, and he said others had asked him about this, some even told him they already use the coffee flavorings for vaping, but he was interested to know how much interest there would be, and what specifically we would like to see different for vaping. They have hundreds of flavors with the potential to create anything, so that is an open book, but for starters the mixes would be VG only (he prefers it over PG which is sourced from petroleum) in smaller sizes such as 6ml, 15ml, & 30ml, at a fair price, ditto for shipping. If these criteria are met, might you or someone you know consider using them for your flavor needs? Any special suggestions or anything you care to add? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Natures flavors' shipping has gotten more rational over the past year. When I first ordered from them it was way up there, and their current two ounce price is what they used to charge for one ounce, I believe.

Their coffee flavoring system vanilla is really excellent, and I've had good luck so far with everything from them in the coffee line.

Their flavorings have a fairly high alcohol content, plenty thin enough for mixing. Leave the cap off a bottle overnight to let some evaporate off if you want (I don't bother).

Oh very cool, you guys are way more into this than I had expected! He was such a nice guy, his biggest concern seemed to be that some litigation happy dork would try to create a lawsuit because he was selling his product for an untested application. My take is that other companies are already doing it to, so why would they single him out, but then again, what do I know? Any legal eagles out there? Hey thanks for your responses so far, I really appreciate it!

I am very familiar with Nature's Flavors and would have tried them by now if they offered smaller sizes like 10ml. 1 oz is way too much to when trying out a flavor. They have approx 20+ flavors that I would love to try, but they need to offer sample sizes.

and He does not have to market his flavors "for vaping". Those of us into DIY know that most food grade flavorings are safe for vaping, and we also know what companies offer them, and most of those companies do not market their flavorings for vaping. All he needs to do is offer some smaller sizes, and many will be all over it .. especially if the flavor is good ;-)

Well I guess that will be for him to decide in the end. It does seem as if there is plenty of interest between here and the DIY forum. I think that some people may need the extra boost that "for vaping" would contribute to their interest level, but others have already jumped in with both feet. Like you, I would like smaller sampler sized flavors so I can have more of a variety, but some seem perfectly happy with what is offered. The reason I even started this was so he could get his own idea of what we all think in all the different areas and if it would make a difference to him to change anything or things for vaping particularly since it really is such a growing group, and as was mentioned, may even be growing more if they start banning online sales of nic based liquids. We would still have to source our Nic from somewhere, but having a choice of flavors could only be a great thing over all!
