One piece pin, press fit in insulator. You have to carefully press it down, in a controlled fashion. Do you have an arbor press, hydraulic press... drill press, vise, welders vise grips... see where I'm going? "Controlled fashion" is the key phrase. ;-)

If the answer is no to all of the above... you might be able to "tap" it down with a support (3/8" drive socket) and a drift. Careful... easy does it, etc, etc, etc. Worst case scenario... you go to far, then the other way, then back, then again... until the pin gets (increasingly) loose in the insulator. :(

I have "adjusted" the IGO-W posts a few times, you can do it pretty easily if you're kind of handy. Tap the post down and out of the base from the top, with the screw out of it. Push the insulator up about 1/4" on the post then put a few wraps of teflon tape between the bottom lip of the post and the bottom of the insulator, now smash the insulator back down on top of the tape then cut off the excess and install it back into the IGO-W base. More or less teflon tape will work depending on how far you want to push it down. I've also seen dental floss and fishing line used for the same purpose.
