I've got a 1.2ohm 28ga spring coil build that I love and been rewicking periodically for a month now. First with some pretty lame organic cotton and later with some pretty cool RAYON.

I'm wondering how long I can expect to rewick and enjoy this experience? Is the coil going to fail altogether or can I expect a drop in performance of some kind?

Love this cheap 'ol IGO-L. :)

So I have an igoL and I wonder how low can I go if my dripper is stock, I mean only the stock air hole , any one else went under .5?
Personally I wouldn't go under 1 ohm. It has like no airflow whatsoever and it will get HOT. I just use it like a super small RBA that has a .125ml capacity. Mostly use it for trying out new flavors and ones that I can't finish a whole tank of, not for clouds. Even at 1.4 ohms, mine gets pretty warm.

Ya I had to drill mine out immediately after my first 1.2 build, that hole is TINY, maybe I got a clone or mine was different, but mine was around the size of a sewing needle. Even at 1.2 the vape was pretty warm and not hitting effectively, Im pretty surprised you are at .5 with the stock airhole if it was the same as mine. My stock airhole was decently smaller than even the smallest single coil option for the trident.

Not 0.5 , its 0.7 the lower that I went.
But with 70%vg 30%pg juice.
I tried with 70%pg 30%vg juice and it was horrible.
The draw was hell tight but still its a good vape.
Better than any clearo and all that.

Is there a reason you don't want to make it bigger? I know some people prefer the small holes for mouth puffing

I wanted to drill it but I don't have a drill and no need to buy one .I preferred dropping 35bucks for an igo w7 instead of at least 100 bucks for a drill
You can get a drill that can do what you need for much less than 100 but I get what you're saying. I've looked at the w7 myself but ended up going with the trident.

The w7 is a beast IMO, only thing about it that I'm not too much a fan is the vertical coil, since it's made for vertical coils.
It's a bit tricky to do for me, but I will get the hang of it I guess.

Ya that's funny I was just having this same discussion over in the IPV2 thread, I don't really like vertical coils either, that's why I went with the magma. I dunno, I might just hate verticals because I've only ever done them on a tiny fogger v4 deck, haven't had a need to try them anywhere else.
