Hello friends I am Pritish just quit smoking after 15 years and newly started vaping .

Last week I purchased the Eleaf Ijust S but the tank is getting quite hot not as bad as burning your finger but it’s very hot and I am worried if there is something wrong with the device or possibly any chances it will explode (No user error until now ) it’s not warm it’s definitely hot .There is no
Local Vape Shop here as vaping is illegal in Thailand and purchased it online .

I used a 0.3 ohm and a 0.18 ohm free coil provided with the kit, getting hot with both coils ..I charged it using the same USB provided with the kit along wit Samsung Charger .I lost the small rubber which fits inside the part which fits the bottom part of the coil .Only the top tank until the
Mid point is getting hot only while I Vape .The battery part is cool and it’s not getting hot while charging either .

Should I be worried and what’s the solution .I think I covered most of the possibilities.
Please advise .

The iJust S tank does get a bit hot. If you are using it on a simple battery then you have to take the power (watts) made by the atomizer and battery. Actually, the 0.18 could be too much for the battery and will certainly get very hot....
The battery is an inbuilt one as you know and all the coils are Eleaf provided free with the kit but it’s getting hot with the 0.3 ohm coil as well...Is is it very normal or is there any danger ?

The 0.3 will give you almost 60 watts.
The 0.18 will give you almost 100 watts.

Both will make the tank hot but the 0.18 hotter.

I don't think you need to worry, although perhaps the liquid isn't flowing well enough to keep the coil nice and wet. That was always a problem with the iJust2 - it was just too powerful for the tank/coil design and you had to stop vaping quite soon or just accidentally kill the coil prematurely. Almost dry-hits should be your warning sign.

Yes I have heard people complain about the Ijust 2 but I haven’t heard as many issues with the Ijust S. There are no dry hits except when the juice is really low .So is there anything that I can do to make
The juice flow good and keep the
Coil wet ? I have put few drops before using it for the first time for both coils and I purchase this device as it’s a starter kit .
So as a final advise you want me to change the coil to 0.5 ohms to work smoothly ?

I would try the 0.5 coil if you haven't. It may or may not cool things down but in theory, it could.

If you are chainvaping (vaping a lot at one time) that may also increase heat as well. You may want to vape a bit less, or possibly get a secondary device (you may want one anyway if vaping is working for you) maybe try something a little bit different and etc. Last thing you want is to be vaping successfully and having no vape to use.

Chain vaping, (IMHO) is probably the result of many "vape gets hot" complaints from new vapers. Having devices to rotate may help quite a bit.

With that said, yes, try the 0.5 coil first.... Good luck,

Anna

Thanks Anna I would really switch to use the 0.5 ohms coil now and would love to switch to a new mod ,saying that I am not chain vaping just 10 puffs at a time in space of 4 mins or so .Buying a new device I am not well educated about vapes and mods as this country bans Vape and it’s not that open but I am still researching on Vaping and new devices .Thanks for your reply definitely gonna try that .
My only concern was safety and no explosion ..
