Illuminated Switch Recommendations?

Hi modders...

I was wondering if anyone has experience with illuminated switches (the ones with the LED in the actuator) and if anyone can recommend an illuminated switch that is small enough and rated high enough for use in pv mods.

I thought I'd ask before I start digging though the mouser catalog.

I've had all of those go bad on me. Nuck is currently looking into other switches.

Only problems I can think of is higher-voltage boxes frying the LED, and battery life. As long as you have a decent battery and know all the power limitations of the switch and its LED, sounds like it'd be fine.

Its not the rating that's the problem with those or any tactile which are typically rated 0.05A since they are protected by a mosfet.

The problem is that over time, they start to misfire if you press them at an angle which is typically the most comfortable way to push. I have a bunch more in that I ordered and there is a decent one with a ton of cap options that is rated for 10,000,000 pushes that looks very promising.

The best places Ive found for switches with LED's is either digikey or mouser. You can filter tactile switches and search for only the illuminated ones.

You have to look @ the voltage also. If its .1A @ 120v, that'd be more like 2A @ 6v. I'm currently using a switch rated for .5A @ 120v, vaping with 2 CR123's fully charged pushing 7.2v with no issues.
