Okay, right now I am wondering where I saw this or even if I imagined this, but I could have sworn some place had itty bitty short ego batteries that were rather big around in comparison to normal ones. That itchy part of my brain wants to say that they were 650 mah, but I am not sure.

If I can't find those, or really, even if I can, I am looking for a very inexpensive place to buy a few ego mini batteries as the people I am wanting to get started on vaping look at my 1100 mah and go "Oh god, you carry that around all day?"

I can't/don't wish to pay retail for these and can wait a while if I have to. They don't need to be genuine Joyetech and a reliable Chinese supplier is cool with me.

I am really wondering if I am imagining the short and fat batteries though. I spend so much time browsing vaping websites it's not totally impossible.

Thanks for the replies! I understand that they aren't going to have quite as much staying power as a good ol' 1100 (Or 1300!!!) mah battery, but the people I want to get interested recoil at the thought of the battery size right now. I am sure when I show them the beautiful patterned 900 mahs to be had they will be interested after trying the smaller ones.

I will try to look at velvet cloud, but $44 is a LOT for taking a chance that some people will like the electronic cigarette.

There's this... not a 'mini' but a short, fat 1300:

Here's a couple links I saved for the mini's when I was thinking about one, first one's a smoktech, not the Joytech everybody says to get, but from what I read, not one of the knock off's that do not last either, right in between, ST supposed to have good quality, and for the price, you can't beat it.
Smoktech Mini 450mah EGO Manual Switch Battery

And here's a kit for a mini that's reasonably priced, and it's a Vision that's supposed to be high quality, hope this helps!

I wish Joye would make a mini eGo twist!

The Vision 400mAh VV isn't bad - same size as a regular eGo-c 650 (not a twist) ... but the charging cycle is rather quick. If you want small with some power - go with the 450 mini (longer charge than the 350 but not that much bigger) and a Baby T3 but put a 1.8Ω coil in it. Same replaceable coil as the T3 (but not the evod). The baby T3 comes with the 2.6Ω coil...

I've been using the 450mah Smoktech with an EVOD and 1.5ohm heads as my daily use when away from home device.
I got mine from Liberty Flights. I love these things. Their regulated to run at 3.7v and coupled with this low resistance head they really pack a punch. The battery life has been good enough to last the work day for me, but I vape as your smoke, during my commute and in the smoking area at work. If you chain all day you may need to bring two of them.....
I've never seen a 650mah fat battery in the same form factor as a mini eGo, I beleive 450mah is the largest.
I also believe the smallest VV one is the vision spinner that the same size as a regular eGo 650mah.
You've got a great idea though, a short & fat one would be convenient and maybe give them enough space to get the VV electronics in a mini eGo length.

I am looking for a very inexpensive place to buy a few ego mini batteries as the people I am wanting to get started on vaping .

Get verified here on ECF so you can shop in the ECF classifieds.

People are always upgrading from their newbie stuff and you will find batteries and such

This week somebody sold about 20 clearomizers (non rebuildable but who cares) for about $1 each.

Most people who have been vaping for a while have stuff they decide to sell when "spring cleaning".

Just be patient while wiating to get verified.....not a big staff to do it. :)

I also find the Ego T batteries to be a very nice size, larger than a mini but much msaller than a twist
