15 days ago I walked into my local vape shop, bought a little starter kit and turned in my last pack of cigarettes for a free bottle of juice. I haven't smoked an analog since, and I have my first upgrades on their way in the mail already! I'll be trying out the Aspire nautilus Mini and an Innokin Cool Fire 4 (hopefully I can avoid that pesky autofire problem I found out about AFTER I ordered it). I also signed up for a monthly subscription to a samplebox that was very customizable, as I figured it was a good way to try new flavors and juices. I'm so excited and I'm never going back to analogs! What I want to know from you all is what was your first step up from beginner stuff? Do you still use it today?

I've been vaping for quite awhile. My first introduction were cig-alike batteries that had cartridges you replaced and the tip glowed when you inhaled.
They were never really satisfying so I moved up and up again and so forth. The technology moves fast.
To answer your question, no I don't use them any more.
What you have is an excellent starter, at least the tank I'm familiar with.
Sub ohm tanks is where it's at for me, but everyone's different. As long as it's satisfying and keeps you off the analogs, I'm all for it.
Welcome to the forums!

Hi and welcome to the board. I started with eGo pens and moved into mechanical mods, there not then being other choices for more power. Yes, I still love my mechs and frequently use them. I was vaping my old Smok Magneto V1 just last night, topped with a Dark Horse dripper and blowing cloud. Since then I have found more power-- not that I needed it-- and much greater flexibility and ease of use in regulated mods, particularly those with temp control. You should be very happy with your Cool Fire, it's a nice mod. The Mini Nauti is also well thought of for mouth-to-lung hitters, although direct lung hitters will likely want something with a bit more authority. Those are good choices and I think you will be pleased.

Greetings and salutations. I started with a cheap ego blister pack. I blew out the coil before my next paycheck. Bought a PT2 and hated it. Got a big Nautilus and it was the 1st thing I enjoyed vaping on. Used it for a couple of months before I went to RBAs. I'm 2 weeks from my 1 year vaperversary and now have 3 mods and 11 toppers and DIY my own juice. I guess you could say I found a hobby. Lol! :thumb:

I started on a bad e-cig and then bought another bad e-cig. (Both cig-a-likes).

$800 later, I discovered the claims made by these companies were dubious and my problems in stopping smoking were kind of "to be expected"..

Then I bought double eGo kit. Most of it has been passed on to newbies. The oldest thing I use regularly is probably a v.1 Lavatube and some Spinners.

Coolfire 4 and Nautilus (mini) should see you well. I'd not heard about Coolfire issues, and I do a lot of reading! :)
