I've about had it with e cigs.

I've had some bad experiences with faulty batteries lately. But now it seems my LR attys have decided to turn on me as well.

I had a couple short out and kill two 900mah batteries. So I've bought a volt meter and have been metering every atty before I or my wife use it.

So here's whats been happening the last two weeks. vaping along, everything's fine then all the sudden, the ecig will not turn off. The atty heats up the battery and both atty and battery are dead after I quickly take them apart.

Im assuming now that the attys are shorting out. Between my wife and I we have killed over $100 dollars worth of batteries in the last 14 days using 3 different kinds of LR attys.

I'm at my wits end. It would be cheaper at this point just to go to analogs.

I don't get it. I vaped for over a year without a single incident and now replacement parts and headaches are costing me more than cigarettes and a lighter would over the same time period.

HELP!

I've used LRs on my 650 eGo kit batteries for months and months and months without incident. I handed those batteries over to my wife when she started vaping a few months ago and kept myself on 900 and 1000 batteries.

The 650's still work but are not holding a charge for as long as they used to. So I got some 900's for the wife too, and a 1000 PT for her during Totally Wickeds last yo yo sale.

Her PT is now dead and I'm sure it was the atty that killed it.

Why are there no protection circuits built into these things?

If a 9 dollar atty can short at anytime, we're playing Russian roulette with 25 dollar batteries...sound about right?

You're using ego type batteries, right? Maybe they're telling you it's time to get a mod. The AW IMR batteries I use do seem to handle the LR better than my egos ever did.

I am planning on an upgrade to the provari after xmas, but I don't want to spend $100 extra just to get through the holidays hehe

go with a mod it is a bigger pv investment but in the long run you will save so much cash. Since June I only use VV mods and have not once had an issue with any of them.

Also if you like 1.5ohm attys the provari will not allow you to vape with it but do not turn away from the provari dear friend. I myself loved 1.5ohm attys at 3.8-3.9v but over the time I got myself some 3.0ohm HV attys and cranck the provari up to 5.6v or a bit higher and it is amazing (depending on juice of course). Not once has my monkey broken down or my provari for sure better choice than these ego thingys.

LR stuff isnt really meant for anythig as low as a ego or riva on the c rating.

Balderdash, I say!

You need to upgrade to a mod.

Wouldn't hurt...

the buttons get stuck down on alot of my ego's and ego copies! especially the hard plastic ones that light up blue(the ones with the 5 push on/off feature). so make sure thats not whats happening... im sure you have, but i figured id mention it just in case. I know the first couple times it happened to me, i had no clue thats why my atty just kept burning!!

Huh?

OP, If I were you I would take some time to do some more research for a reliable ecig. In the meantime you can just buy disposable ecigs, In the seattle area, you can find them locally in most smokeshops.

edit: the disposable ecigs are going to cost you around $10-14 and last about as long as 2 packs of smokes. So it's about the same price but much healthier.
