My wife ordered me the Blu cig starter kit. It came in Monday and so far I like it. My analog consumption is already down by more than 50%. But, as has been noted here by many already, I have already noticed that battery life is lacking. I know that there are numerous batteries out there, but it gets confusing trying to figure out what works with what. Is there somewhere that breaks it all down, you know, 510's and 901's etc. I only seem to get more confused when i start reading some of the threads from experienced users. Please help.

Welcome to the forum, Basshle! It does get confusing doesn't it. Basically there different thread couplings/sizes between the batteries and the atomizers, 510 and 901 being two of these. There are then many different batteries that use each of these thread sizes. For example, the 510 has a basic 510, eGo, Tornado, Riva, various "mods" made by individuals.... on and on.

The ECF Libary has some valuable information on the various types of ecigs, as well as a guide to your purchase. If you haven't already read the Wonderful World of Vaping, I highly recommend it as well.

Hope this helps some.

though I'm new as well i have had experience with both 901's and 510's. I'm not nearly experienced enough to provide any solid insight but maybe i can help a little.

I almost bought the blu cig starter kit but was turned off to it after reading reviews and watching videos on it. I'm not sure of what type of battery it is exactly but it could be that its just a small battery and therefore dies faster. It also depends on how much you've been vaping during the week. If you treat it like an actual cig and only use it when you have a craving the battery could last you all day.

I started with a 901 knock-off that i picked up at a store one day and the battery on that lasted me into the early evening. Without getting into the whole sciency aspect of the battery, it was a larger battery and help more of a charge. I'm currently using a 510 and this bad boy lasts me 2-3 hours of near constant vaping ( the 901 would have lasted a bit longer).

Hope this wasn't too convoluted!

basshle,

a little over a month ago, I was confused as hell too. To be honest, I still am about ALOT of things on these forums. The deeper you go the more you realize there is to know.

So here's the basics:

1) go to the ECF Library and read the hell out of it.

2) It seems that everyone has more than one e cig but almost everyone has a 510 in their collection. THAT above all else made me get one.

3) Don't order stuff out of confusion. If you have a question about a product, come here to the new member forums and ask. These people are AMAZINGLY helpful.

4) Even though you'll still feel like you're unsure, when it comes time just close your eyes and order.

5) I have a Blu as well. The concept is fantastic. If the product was as good, I wouldnt recommend anything but Blu. Unfortunately, its just not as good as one would hope. In the end my 510 blows it away.( Dura, yeti and Titan are all 510's regardless of the name they put in front of the model number)

6) Dont know if THIS will help, but its a list with pics of different model types.

If Vaping could get me off cigarettes, then it will work for anyone. You just need the right model.

the Blu has the same threads as a 510...with one very important exception....

the polarity is reversed....

what that means is that you can use blu atties on 510 (or 306) batteries... or 510 (or 306) atties on blu batteries....

you cannot however charge blu batteries on a 510 (or 306) charger or 510 (or 306) batteries on a blu charger or PCC...
