Well, at least I think I am. USPS reports that it was processed in our sorting facility yesterday afternoon. I'm assuming that it will be sent to my location over night, and out for delivery in the morning. I gave this careful thought on what I was going to graduate to from my (not so) trusty njoy. It was find for a while to see if I wanted to vape. You all know the story.

Anyhow, any tips from the veteran EGO-T users? Yeah, I've seen a dozen youtube videos. A couple people said not to fill it up all the way. Actually, that was a common sense conclusion that I came up with before watching them. It's been confirmed. Also, I've read that sometimes a cart will leak as a result from messing with the end cap. I thought it might be a good idea to just poke the empty cart in the atomizer, then fill it up without taking the cap off at all.

Basically, I'm looking for starting up tips. Should I charge the battery first before using? If so, how long? What's the deal with the wick primer? How to deal with that stuff properly? I know you veterans have the answers to these questions, and probably plenty of tips that I hadn't thought of.

Thanks,
Michael

I am an a ego-t user, before switching to mods, and I can tell you some thangs.. I would stick it in the charger until the light turns green. It really doesn't matter, you can start vaping it right away if you want, it wont hurt it, (it comes partially charged). Don't use too thick of juices, like a lot of JC's juice, clogged my atty's pretty fast. When you open a new tank, stick it into the atty to punch the hole out. Then take it out, and fill it. There are a lot of sites out there that tell you to take the atty apart and adjust the wick,,, DONT DO THIS!! It pretty much f's up your atty. Just use it as normal. After a few days the draw gets a little tight, then take some tweesers, and push the wick down a LITTLE BIT. You need to either soak your attys in Diet Coke, or dry burn them before using to get the primer liquid off. I normally just vape for ten mintues without inhaling, until there is no vapor left, then I start using it. If you have LR ego-t atty's, be careful, because mine popped all of the time. Obviously, while using one batt, keep the other one charging. If you get bored or do not like the tank, you can always use 510 atty's and driptips on it. I personally do not like the ego-t atty's, but at first I loved them! Good luck and have a great vaping experience!!

Update:

My ego t did, in fact, arrive today. I love it! My liquid taste great in it. Are there any more ego t users out there besides the only one to give me tips? I'm wondering if there are any tips on maximizing the atomizer. With the Njoy, my cartomizer got hot. I can't feel the heat like that with the ego t. How much time is too much to hold the button?

I thought you were a new ecig user...lol. I personally never get mine too hot. Only when it's low on juice is when I get that burnt taste. If you want a looser air flow, push the wick down a tiny bit. Another tip I picked up was to take a primer puff, by french inhaling, then take a real pull. It warms it up well. (To me the hotter I get it, the better, because it never really gives you burnt juice like with the 510's). Congrats!! (My batts, last half a day). They're awesome.

If it's a real eGo-T, the button will start flashing after 7-8 seconds and cut you off. Nothing to worry about. Congrats on your T. I have two of them, but tossed the tanks in favor of the EMDCC.

I pulled off the cart, and held the button down. It did flash then cut out after 8 or 9 seconds. First I tried to drag of of it for as long as it took, but I can't do that. 3 or 4 seconds max. I guess it's not a knockoff then? I was wondering about that. The site that I ordered from says they are genuine Joyetechs. I was a little leery about it, because they had the best price for this kit out of anywhere. Also, there isn't a single place on this kit that says Joye, or Joyetech. Now that I think about it, I'll bet the company supplies this guy at reduced prices without their name anywhere. This way, they can still sell the branded product at higher prices, with the scare of knockoffs not performing up to par, while at the same time sell to frugal consumers looking for a deal who might still buy a knockoff.

LOL, no Morgy. I quit smoking back in March. Major reason, I had lost my job and couldn't afford cigarettes anymore, then when I did the math, I found that vaping really was cheaper. I would buy a pack of smokes in place of eating. I'd been using the Njoy for all that time, and found it frustrating when the battery went dead after a couple of hours. Cartomizers didn't hold up too well either.

Actually, there is cheaper than Vicki. The first link that pops up when you google for ego t is the place. I'm not knocking Vicki. I've watched her videos, and her customer service is second to none. I have no idea what this place is like. I tried asking around here, but nobody seems to know anything, good or bad. I went with it anyhow. I hope I never have to find out.

Sounds like the genuine article. Mine don't say Joye or Joyetech either. If it's 5 click on/off it's the real deal.
