I'm going to try it! make my own juice

Hi all I'm on day 24 of not smoking and I've spent waaay a too much on juice. Hubby is not happy. Even though he vapes what I buy too. Any way, it's far more economical to make your own juice. What really sealed the deal for me was I went to my home town bm shop and they are selling their juice for 12.99.for 6ml. Ridicoulas! Soo, today I went online and bought empty bottles, pv, vg, and nicotine, droppers, and flavorings. I bought the bigger bottles so I think everything to start up came in around 85 bucks. Not too bad really for the big bottles. I got a app to figure out the ratio of everything and I'm just waiting to give it a try. Any tips for a first timer? I'd appreciate any help or tips. Thanks.

wear gloves on the nicotine. Honestly my biggest regret was trying flavors with nicotine. Try flavors without it until you find a good flavor then mix with nicotine. I have soo many 1/2 bottles of bleh around that i really wish i didn't put nicotine into before i tried.

Good luck if you can handle the time it takes to find good flavor mixes its a HELLLLLLLL of a lot cheaper

True. Yeah I got to try it cause hubby isn't happy with the amount of money $$ I'm spending on juice. I found a place that sells the flavors for around 1.40 each which isn't bad. So I started out with some basics, and some berries, creme, mellon, vanilla, ect. I'm going to get more empty bottles and droppers when I get paid and more flavors. I figure, why not try? Who knows it might taste good?

Getting started, keep your batches small. Stick to 3-5ml samples and if those are good, try 10ml. I wouldn't go much higher until you know for a fact that you have something you'll vape through else you'll be wasting product & money. I would advise grabbing some syringes from WizardLabs.us if you've not already; they'll make things a lot easier in the long run. The 1ml syringes are going to be your best friend for flavors simply because drops per ML is not accurate. You may get 20 drops per 1ml on one flavor, 30 on another and 50 on another. There's no consistency.

I heartily recommend Mt. Baker for the flavors, and I applaud your decision to make your own juice. I was spending almost $90 a week on juice before I started making my own, and what I came up with is better than anything I paid someone else for. Vaping SHOULD be cheaper than smoking, but if you are paying someone else for your juice all you have done financially is change the middleman.

I make my juice in 100 ml Erlenmeyer flasks and use a 50 ml graduated cylinder to mix the nic and flavors. I'll be making another 100 ml today and that lasts me about a week and a half. It costs a pittance compared with what the local B&M was charging me. Just be sure to wear latex gloves when adding the nicotine, you really don't want it on your skin.

I want to do this eventually as well but I realllly do like getting my packages of little bottles full of goodness in the mail.

Make sure you keep an eye on the classifieds thread, I see people selling flavorings all the time.
