I have never seen an e cig in person, noone in my city seems to know what they are, google results show nothing.

So I order my set from china, and am waiting impatiently for it to arrive.

And I'm reading and reading, and learning, so I wont be confused when it gets here.

And I come across a post from someone in my city. And I click on profile, and find that this person works at an ecig mall kiosk. I have no idea we had any at all. I live 1/2 mile from one mall, and 5 miles from the other.

Had I know, I would have gone down there DAYS ago, and bought it in person!!!!!

I'm more than a little unhappy right now. I've got probably another week or more wait before mine gets here, as I haven't even gotten a shipping notification yet. :(

Hi Annah -

Im fairly new to this myself, but thought i could offer you some reassurance that you did make the right decision.

Generally, the ones that are sold at the mall kiosks are "smoking everywhere". They are way over priced and are generally junk from what i understand. If you do a search on here for smoking everywhere i believe you will find that 99% of the people who have bought from them have been extremely dissatisfied and irritated that they spent 2x what they should have.

I have a 510 that i got from ruyandirect aka heavensgifts and so far i am loving it.

So while waiting can be frustrating it will be worth it.

Good luck!

Don't beat yourself up. For example; A well known brand can be ordered from China for less than $30.00. The same model at the mall kiosk is over $150.00. You made a good choice.

Thanks guys.. Makes me feel a little better, although I'm still impatiently waiting.

I'm so sick of smoking, I'm quite ready to be done, like yesterday.

I couldn't afford to buy a PV so expensive anyways, so I would have had to resort to going online, (and the bright side is...) I have a 3 day head start if you look at it that way.

Yikes, is there really that much of a price difference Jim?

I got the 901- kit was $27.50. No way I'd want to pay $150, even for immediate gratification.

Yes maam. (I'm assuming, you're a "maam")

Mall kiosks are selling them for $150+. The have sample units to use. You could go to the mall and try one out to see what it's like. Then just tell them you don't caer for it. Nothing lost.

When you think about money for e-cigs, just use the money you were going to spend on stinkie sticks.

You'll need extra atomizers, and juice, I hope that is in your order.

yep- I'm female. I haven't met many men named Anna. ;)

I probably would feel stupid standing there trying it out in public anyways- or even looking too closely at it. I'm embarrassed easily, and it doesn't help that I'm embarrassed to admit to a nicotine addiction. (I'm a very crunchy, "go green", tree hugger, recycling freak kinda person, so all the trash generated from smoking, plus the toxins in my body goes against everything I believe in, i feel like a recovering alcoholic who took a drink must feel every time i light a cig.)

I did order enough juice to last a few weeks, but not a spare atomizer yet (low $, trying to be cheap as possible). I have another paycheck coming on friday, i was going to order a few spare atomizers and some more juice flavors on friday, from a US based company. I wanted to at least get the PV on it's way here, so i wouldn't have a very long wait between the time my kit gets here, and when my spares get here. If my atomizer happens to be DOA, then I guess I'll have a longer wait unfortunately.

Haven't decided who to order from yet, been looking at flavors/strengths/prices trying to come to a decision.

But DEFINITELY get at least 1 more atomizer!

Rocky Mountain Vapor has the best price I've seen for them in the US - $7 each - and they ship free if you order $14. They're quick at shipping, so if you ordered Tuesday morning you'd probably have Thursday or Friday via priority mail.

I believe you're ordering from Ruyan/Heaven's Gate in China. They quote 7-10 days for delivery; I've just ordered something from them and they sent me email saying they'd shipped it on 8/13, but the tracking showed it didn't leave to go to the 'sorting center' until 8/16. Once the tracking shows me it's on a plane leaving China, I know I'll have the order in about a week (based on experience with two other Chinese suppliers - I got the orders 6 or 7 days after I placed the orders; so Ruyan is relatively 'slow'.

How much eliquid are you getting initially? I've heard that on average people use about 2ml per day, so a 30 ml bottle will last you a couple of weeks. So if you're tight on cash, you may be able to delay getting more liquid, depending on how much you're getting initially. LOTS of suppliers for the e-juice with free shipping and quick service.

Hve fun with your 901!

Oh yeah, I ordered a Smoking everywhere from amazon for $45 and went to the mall guys o see about spare parts only to find out that each extra part would cost as much as the starter kit i bought. So I found a local supplier and bought an 801 kit from him and a ton of extra stuff and only spent $60. So you definitely did good by not going to the mall guys.

I bought 20 ml liquid. I was trying to estimate a useage, which seems almost impossible to do., since it varies so much from one person to the next. I bought the 24mg, so that I could dilute it down if I find that that I am going through more than a minimal amount of juice. Although I calculated from my daily cigs, that I only smoke about 24 mg max in a day anyways. A few suggestions said that I should go high to avoid cravings and dilute if necessary. So that's my plan for the moment- we'll see how well that goes.

Thanks for the tip about batteries too. I get 2 with the kit, but of course am worried about how long that will last. I was thinking about getting 2 more atomizers, 1 more battery, and a passthrough, plus another 30 ml of liquid.

Hey, Anna,

I know how you feel about the cig-use... I am a druid-eco-nut-type myself, and every time I smoke I feel like a traitor...

Congrats on trying this. Be patient with the learning curve - sometimes people take to it like fish to water, and sometimes not so much. But even I am enjoying it now, and I am a walking, vaping, example of Murphy's law, as folks around here who've been babysitting me will testify! :D

Oh, and one other thing, from one nature-freak to another: be careful on how you dispose of used carts/stuffing/juicy things. Juice smells like sweet food and tastes sweet. Animals would go for it in a flash. So wash/dilute stuff before you throw it out less some hapless skunk gets a bad dose of nic. :)

Good luck - hope you get your stuff soon. BTW, next time if you want faster shipping from China, try healthcabin. Their prices are good, and the shipping is five days flat. They charge $15 for shipping, but if you get a goodly amount of things at the same time, it's definitely worth it. And their customer service is good. I got answers to my questions within a day.

Cheers,
Briar.

This thread is making me feel so much better about my nasty addiction... I can top you all, I am a Registered Yoga Therapist. Shhh don't tell anyone about my habit LOL.

I looked at Smoking Everywhere at the mall kiosk - talk about a pushy salesman. I of course walked away, had already ordered Blu, and 2 510's for hubby and I. I am truly loving the passthrough.

I don't think I've ever seen a 110 to usb.. I'm sure they'd probably have them in the store near the ipods.. just a guess. I do have a USB car adapter already, totally forgot I had it. DH pointed that out to me yesterday. I've never even used the silly thing.

Wow- I wouldn't have thought about disposing of the used carts/fillings. Well, I'm sure I would have eventually, but possibly would have killed a few critters first. Thanks so much for that! I do wonder- is it possible to totally get all traces of nicotine out of the fibers? And if not, any clue if nicotine is harmful to worms? I have several worm compost bins where most of my household trash goes. It would make the wildlife even safer, if the worms got to the stuff first. (ok, so I am a total weirdo- LOL)

I just took a quick look at healthcabin.. Their prices are about the same as the place i ordered from (having a brainfart on the name). I ended up paying $13 for shipping I think, so not much difference there. I'm going on 48 hours since I ordered now, so I dont think there's a chance it'll be here in 3 more days. LOL.. 5 days in transit from shipping, so like 7 days total?
