My uncle has smoked all his life,he is in his late 70's and don't weigh 100 pounds soaking wet,I'm going to get him a kit, something simple(510) I want it to be easy for him,I would like some advice. Thanks
I hope your uncle decides he likes vaping. Sometimes, people just get stuck in a habit and don't care to change. It's all attitude when you decide to vape. I ordered a Riva kit for my BIL at his request. After almost a year, he hasn't finished his 10ml bottle of Casablanca or the 16ml bottle of Camel I gave him and says he doesn't need anymore. He likes the juices I supplied, but only uses the ecig when he goes somewhere he can't smoke, like the Waffle House.
Go figure. There will always be people who go to their graves with a cigarette in their hand. We can't change that, only encourage them and see what happens.
Exactly DaveP. I would like to add that those analog look-a-like actually does help convert people, even though they usually upgrade. Its more difficult to change to eGo style without first using the auto batts. So, its not so much a waste of money if it gets the job done, and then they can upgrade.
The V2, Blu, etc work really well, even if overpriced.
Do you know if he wants to quit/switch? That will make a huge difference in how successful he is. I would recommend starting him off with a cheap ego variant and a bunch of different juices. My philosophy is that the more juice options a person has they are more likely to find something that gets them interested enough to get into vaping. The learning curve to find what works best involves some effort and can't be gifted to your uncle. If he is open to trying, you will give him a chance with a bunch of flavors.
If you can, allow him to try yours first. Most newbies like cig style at first, maybe SmokelessImage for a sealed auto? Maybe some tobacco joose, or menthol- I quit on unflavored myself, I can taste the tobacco from the nic base.
The Volt might be a good one for him. With the larger battery and KR808 cartos, it's a proven slim ecig that many people on ECF enjoy as their daily vape. It's a good, reliable backup should he decide he wants to become a hard core vaper.
I've been buying these for my friends. Smok 510 DC Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes *We* know there are much better kits out there but it seems to be working well as a foot in the door for my friends. Plus, I'm not out much if they decide they don't like vaping (hasn't happened, yet, though).
I like the Volt for new vapers. They have carto sampler packs so you/he can get a feel for what flavors he might like. Later on, if he wants to go bigger, they have the X2 which is an eGo type sharpie size.
