Im going to be getting my ELA after what feels like 56 years of waiting. When I do, im thinking of trading here on ECF.
Im hoping you guys can tell me what is a good/comparable trade for it. There are a lot of mods I want and dont know much about.

Here's what im thinking and maybe you guys can tell me if im nuts or pretty close.

Templar: new or like new. Is it as good functioning as it is good looking?

Chi you: new. I dont know about this. You tell me.

Bagua 22ti w arrow 22 ti rba: am I going to have to spicen up the offer to make that deal? Is it really worth it. I love the way that hybrid setup looks. (My ideal trade)

Nahual: advice is needed bigtime on this one.

Mention some others if you have any ideas in mind, and thanks for your help!

Let me put this out there first.

I know nothing about the Precise ELA, other than its pretty dang hard to get, and looks pretty boss. But, that said, it hasn't been on my personal radar, as the overall design doesnt really appeal to me.. I actually prefer the design of the simplicity myself. Anyway.

    Say you DID trade it.

The Templar, was one of my holy grail mods, simply because of the Templar theme having some personal meaning to me. And I had a really hard time procuring one. I got a stroke of luck, and was finally able to get a brand new one, never fired, never owned by anyone.. brand new.

It IS a superb mod. One of my finest, and I have some other really nice mods as well. Mine is stainless with brass accent. Some people had switch issues, mine seems to be fine.. in fact, its got a really smooth action. The threading and engraving are exquisite, the overall machining is a 8.5. Only reason I dont give it a perfect 10, is the seams dont dissapear into each other. Otherwise, this is really without flaw.

FOR ME, The Templar was worth the effort I put forth, because it wasn't just another high end mech to me. So, had I not been able to get a new one, and used was the only option, I would have traded what was needed to get it, had that been the case.

But if the Templar, Chi, Bagua 22 and Nahual are just four other high end mechs, why trade the ELA? The Templar is hard to get, ok. The Chi is not that hard to get anymore, the BaguaTi isn't hard to get, and the Nahual Im not sure of its availability. But it seems to me, unless one of those four hold a special value to you other than thier status in the mech world, why trade a brand new ELA you waited forever for, for something else that you DIDN't have to wait forever for, AND, in the case of two or three of them, can just go purchase when you want too?

If you're really not sure what to do here, then when you get the ELA, use it for a bit. See how you like it. If after a couple weeks, you still dont want to hang onto it, trade it for what you want. It wont be hard, ELAs fly out of the classifieds.

I guess there is the do nothing option which seems to be highly advised.

BUT to answer your questions on why trade one high end for another high end.. i have my reasons.

There may be other mods out there that are hard to get that I may want/like/desire more than the ELA; regardless of the wait. That being said, if there are any that I have not listed and you think should be, let me know.

I will be factoring in the wait time in the trade, if there is one.

These are just my opinions, and I'm biased as I love my ELA.

I think you'd be making a mistake trading it for any of the above items. Aesthetics come down to personal preference, but I don't see from a functionality, performance, warranty, or build quality perspective where any of those devices would win over an ELA.

Templar - looks like your standard 2-tone Caravela/PAPS wannabe hype device with engraving.
    Chi You - same.
Bagua Ti22 - same, but made out of Titanium.
Nahual - a great atomizer from everything I've seen and heard, but it's harder to compare a PV to an atomizer. This is really more of a question of what do you want more, an atomizer, or a PV?

I'd put the ELA through it's paces before making a decision, but I'd hate to see you give up on something as well designed and unique for any of the 3 PV's above. I really think they will be mostly forgotten about in a year in favor of the latest "it" mod, whereas the ELA will still be a tried and true, sought after piece of hardware in a year.

Of course, if you just don't like the way it looks and can't get around that then there's no reason to keep it.

You may want to order a flat button for it while they're still available. It sounds like that would be a deal breaker for you, and I'm not sure how much longer they'll be available. I believe the Satburn buttons are still available on VP if that's more your thing (low profile, non-locking), as well as the super-t flat buttons kits.

I finally came to the realization that I should just buy and keep what I want, not what is the newest hype magnet out there. If you really want the ELA then keep it, if not trade it for something you are gonna love....like my Aluminbronze Templar #35 with Hyper-T atty :vapor:

Lol, I was first! Jk, keep the ELA man it's very sought after and a very good mod. If u do decide to trade, outside of a caravela , should ask for cash also. The ELA is a better functioning battery mod then the vela (head ducking) but the Vela is just unobtainium.
