I have a Tesla mod and want a good tank to go on top. Currently using a Wotofo Serpent Mini. But I get leaks all over the place. I think it come out the air vents. Perhaps I'm not using it correctly.

Seriously, the air vents should be on top and there should be no way to leak fluid unless you turn it upside down and pour it out!

So, what is a good tank I can use?
It must be for dummies like me, have rebuildable coils, and bullet proof.
Any suggestions?

There are top airflow atomizers. The obs Zeus and engine series come to mind. Any tank will leak if it’s not wicked correctly or is not screwed together right though.
Many RDTAs such as the avacado are more forgiving on wicking so you may want to look at that.
The most common cause of leaking in tanks is incorrect wicking. That’s where I would look first.

For top air as @bombastinator pointed out the OBS Engines are top air as is the Geekvape Zeus. There is also a Digiflavor Themis approaching release as well.

It is still quite possible to build and use a bottom airflow RTA that is relatively leak resistant. Folks have gotten good use out of the Serpent mini, so playing around with the way you wick it may still very well solve the problem. Probably 90% of leaking issues are wick related.

OBS Engine Nano and GeekVape Zeus are good top af rtas.I prefer the Nano, some others prefer the Zeus. Nano s 5ml, easy build/wick, versatile af, great flavor. Zeus is 4ml I think, postless deck with air towers, the smoothest af I've ever used. I get better flavor from the Nano, but have had it much longer.

If you don't want a RTA, may I suggest the ORIGINAL Uwell Crown (not the Crown 2, 3, or Valarian).

It is a sub-ohm tank, but you don't have to sub-ohm with it. It has 1.2 ohm coils available for it as well as 0.15, 0.25, and 0.5 ohm coils. Coils last me a full 4 weeks. It is an easy top fill (4ml capacity). It has a ratcheted air control ring which allows wide open direct lung draws down to a tight mouth-to-lung draw. It has a wide bore mouthpiece, but you can always replace it with any inexpensive small bore mouthpiece if you desire. Great flavor, a lot of vapor. Optional RTA base available as a separate purchase.

Crown is a good flavor tank, the rba is awful.

As others have said OBS Engine series, Geekvape Zeus, and Digiflavor Themis are all top airflow RTAs and very leak resistant. OBS also has an Engine subohm tank that uses replaceable coils. Smok X-baby is also a top airflow subohm tank with replaceable coils and it has a RBA head that can be bought for it.

Also as said wicking is a main reason for leaking or not leaking. Likely you are combing out your wicks too much. RTAs is the most temperamental way to vape. There are a couple of ways your wicking can turn out.
1. Too much=dry hits
2. Too little=leaks
3. Just right=Great Vape!
It's an art to get number 3!

Are you sure your getting better from the nano or are they equal and human nature of loyalty (which we all have) is kicking in?

Positive I get more intense flavor from the Nanos. Think it's the way the af is set up in Nano. I get good flavor from the Zeus but the sharper notes in my juice are missing. Sweet dessert juices work better in Zeus for me than the fruits.

It may be a good idea to get a different RTA, but really not all bottom airflow RTAs leak. In fact, none of mine do, once I figured out how to wick them. That involved (for me) switching to rayon, which I absolutely love. It shrinks when wet, so needs to be wicked pretty tight in the coil and then thin the tails.

By all means try another RTA, you may have better luck, but it would be a shame to restrict all your choices, when what you have now may be perfectly usable and made to not leak with the right coil and wicking. Can you post a pic of your build? We may be able to help you isolate what is happening.

while the previous posts are excellent advice, i have to ask a dumb question. how are you building your serpent? is it a big clouds build with lots of cotton or a flavor build with average cotton? also are you purging prior to your inhale? (blowing through the tank/dripper just before inhale while pressing the fire button to preheat a slow to ramp up build) is your cotton coming in contact with the air port in the center?

these dumb questions can be missed when looking for help with devices because most folks forget to ask them.

Just received a new Falcon tank was impressed by the reviews using pulp along with cotton and with the M-1 coil it is mesh. Was hoping for longer lasting coils and great flavor. Within two hours after filling it completely leaked out. Took it apart checked all the orings and even replaced the initial coil with a new one. Reassembled and made sure coil was tight, and seated properly. Noticed when completing assembly, the top fill plate oring looked odd. Replaced that with new and filled it up.....
Leaked the same way. I’ve had aspire Athos, uwell valerians with only minor issues. Contacted store to return it and waiting to get a response. Anything else I should have considered? Oh yea. Replaced the tank glass with spare too thinking it could have been the culprit. Any assistance would be appreciated
