So I was explaining, I'm just trying to get the authorisation to post in the SK forum.

I am looking for users opinion regarding the most common channel used by South Korean vapers to buy their e-cigarettes. With the weird regulation there, I am a bit confused as to whether most people buy their e-cigarettes via tobacconists/kiosks or through the franchise shops of brands such as Janty/Ovale and Ramiya?

I am also trying to get a sense of the size of the market in South Korea. Either in number of users or in value. I had a chat with someone from Ramiya which estimated the market was WON 5 billion. But that seems really low. I understand the apparently there was negative publicity in 2011 from the government and the taxation makes it unappealing but still...

Hey, I guess there will be a lag between my reply and your post.

I am not actually an e-cigarette user, not even a smoker. However with the amount of research I have done I can say I am beginning to be fairly familiar with all the product types.

It's quite interesting, I live in the UK where cartomizer models which resemble conventional cigarettes are the most popular and the market is exploding which is completely different from South Korea apparently, where the regulation is similar to tobacco and vapers vastly prefer refillable models.

To link back to my previous post, the SK market of WON 5 billion ($4.5m) compares to a market in the UK which is roughly $95m! There are apparently 650,000 vapers here and this is increasing fast.

There are a lot of vapers in the UK who have more advanced equipment than "cig-a-likes;" hopefully, they will be more visible soon. You have 5 posts now, so you can post in sub-forums. Cheers!
