I got my glass IBTanked carto tank in today. Loaded her up with a 2ohm carto and the rest is behind closed doors, haha. The quality of the tank and rings is very very good. I also grabbed an extra smaller 19mm "standard length" glass tube for $5 so I can swap rings for a shorter setup. This is the 19mm XL tube on my Cigreat mech mod.

Looks very clean. I cant use tanks like that, I'll just break it lol. Stuck with Smok Pyrex with the metal sleeve.

These tanks use very thick glass. Thick enough that they've survived me knocking over my Provari with one on it and not a single problem.
How do you use one so rough that you think you'd break one?

These tanks are super thick. Here's a pic of my standard length spare.

Haha, have 2 of those too my friend, love them. Here is my silver pyrex Smok v2 on a roller clone.

I'm a mechanic. Used to be a PAD smoker so I try to keep my PV close to me. If the glass isn't bulletproof, I can break it lol. Even if I leave it sitting, if it takes a tumble on its own, it has at least a 4 1/2 foot drop onto a very hard concrete floor. Perks of the job. I don't see much use in getting a nice carto tank for home use, I would rather use an RDA

Gorgeous setup, OP. I'm easing into tanks - been vaping on a Smok DCT with a boge laser-slotted today and I really enjoy the setup. I bought a higher-end, thick pyrex tank on vacation and I think I'm just picking bad juice to put in (100% VG). I let it wick overnight and it still doesn't seem to pack the same flavor as a simple Aspire BDC tank. I tried it to compare, so far, the BDC mini nova is absolutely wrecking the carto tank :(. That's ok though, I just need to figure out what juice works best in which topper and go from there. 'Grats on the setup!

Thanks man. I use Boge cartos too, love them. I don't have great wicking luck with any juice over 30% VG in my cartos. Hits seem weak and flavorless but anything 70% PG is great. Thanks for the input on the BDC mini nova. I'm always looking for 1 step better.

I think my best cartotank experiences thus far outweigh what the Aspire BDC does but it's hard to argue with the overall value proposition offered by the Aspire. Easy to clean, easy to fill, great flavor and throat hit. I've heard of some bad experiences with them though, that's what Chinese QC gets you :(

I was going to try out some Ikenvape cartos but they're all sold out. I'm just wondering if perhaps the stuffing in the Boge lasers is too dense? I was priming it last night with the 100% VG stuff and no joke the liquid sat on the top of the filler material for 5 minutes before it soaked in completely. I didn't flood the thing either. In any event, when they work, they work very well. Cartos are cheap though, I'll grab some Smok cartos for now and a punching tool. I, too, am always looking to try something new.

I've torn apart and compared Smok and Boge cartos. The filler and wick envelopes are different between the two. Basically, there is less filler density in the Smok cartos. The advantages for the Smok are more liquid capacity per size and better saturation with high percentage VG. The down side would be a tendency to flood with thin juices. High VG juice requires more surface area contact between juice and filler material. That means more or larger slots or holes.

This is a nice carto punch and a big improvement over the original Smok carto punch design. Watch the video here. I'm using 3 1/3 turns.

V2 Cartomizer Punch - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

I love IBTanked but one one these days I'm going to get a Phiniac in cobalt blue.

I would like to try my ibtanked I ordered, but almost one week since my order and I have yet to hear anything!

Hmmm that's really strange! I've ordered twice on the last two weeks and both shipped out within two days I think. Did you get a confirmation e-mail?

There's a video on the Phiniac website where they throw it at the wall REALLY hard, and not a chip. I think you would be safe! ;)

I have both, if I had to choose between the two I would choose the IBTanked. I like the fact it comes with stainless end caps plus the thingy all for a cheaper price.

I DO like that the Phiniac has colored glass, rather than painted glass. To bad all of the colors are out of stock anyway! But I'm perfectly happy with my IBT's!
