HI everyone,

I'm very glad to find this forum. I started vaping a couple months ago and have been able to quit analogs fairly easily. It wasn't perfectly smooth though. During the first few weeks the analogs would come back out of the drawer during equipment malfunctions.

I have been chasing the sweet smooth taste of unflavored VG. This has been a struggle for me. I've spent entire days rebuilding again and again. Adjusting coils, changing nic levels, varying VG/PG ratios, and switching wicking materials. I've learned a little, but am largely still stumped.

I've a lot more to learn so am anxious to get these 5 initial posts out of the way.

Cheers

Since I need to get some posts out of the way....

People around me seem surprised at how easy it seems to be for me to quit the analogs. My reply has been that vaping ( with good equipment ) is a far superior way to get nicotine. I rarely if ever got a buzz from analogs. With vaping, I often have to stop because I'm just getting too much nic. I started at 18, then 12, and now I'm at 8. I was not trying to cut back. Just trying to avoid over nic'ing myself. It seems to me that these vaping products should not be marketed as a substitute for analogs, but rather as simply a superior product.

More random thoughts to come...

A modification of a KFL+ for juice control and easy build deck access ( I haven't seen this anywhere, but I'm sure it's known )

Take a kanger protank replacement head and cut the tubular section in half. You will need a hacksaw at the minimum. The little piece of pipe you now have forms a nice tight fit into the top of the kayfun chimney piece and also into the bottom of the drip tip. With a tight fit this effectively makes the drip tip and chimney one piece. Take the oring off the bottom of the replacement head and put this right above the threads on the chimney piece. Now you can thread the cylindrical chamber piece onto the chimney. With the oring in place these pieces can be tightened so that they won't easily unscrew. Now the entire chamber and the drip tip are one piece. Screwing and unscrewing the drip tip now moves the chimney up and down - juice control. The build deck can now be unscrewed from the tank without the need to empty the tank. As you unscrew it just hold the drip tip so you unscrew both threads simultaneously.

Greetings to you, ECF Earthling.

A funny thing happened after my 5th post. The forum wouldn't let me post any further. It said I couldn't make posts quicker than 15 seconds apart and told me I had to wait 20,000 some seconds until I could post again. That's about 6 hours. I'm back.

Thanks for the greetings and welcomes everyone. I'll see you out there.
